Creating natural skincare that feels truly luxurious is much harder than people realise.

As a cosmetic chemist, texture is something I think about constantly.

Many conventional moisturisers rely on synthetic polymers (carbomer, acrylate copolymer, ammonium acryloyldimethyltaurate/VP copolymer) and texturisers to create that soft, silky skin feel.

With more natural ingredients — especially natural thickening systems — formulas can easily become sticky, difficult to spread, or leave an uncomfortable gummy finish on the skin.

When formulating Forest Blossom, I wanted to create something that felt elegant, lightweight, and beautiful to use while staying aligned with our formulation philosophy and brand values- environmentally responsible, natural and good for long-term health

For me, formulating is always about balance:
performance, sensory experience, skin compatibility, and intentional ingredients working together in harmony.
