If you find it hard to unwind at the end of the day, it’s often not a mindset issue, it’s a nervous system that hasn’t fully downshifted.
One of the simplest ways I work with this in my somatic practice is through slow, supported movement on the ground:
lying down
letting the weight of the head drop into the earth
gently rolling the head side to side
breathing softly through the mouth
noticing movement travel through the spine without effort
This isn’t about fixing anything,
it’s about changing the conditions the body is in so regulation becomes possible again.
Over time, this can support the system to:
release excess tension
soften overthinking
and return to a more organised, responsive state
If your system feels full, overstimulated, or “stuck on,” you can try this for a few minutes this evening.

I work as a somatic practitioner in Stockholm using ILM (Ilan Lev Method), offering hands-on sessions for people who want deeper support with nervous system regulation, chronic tension, and embodied change.
I currently have a limited number of sessions available each week.
