Introducing Magnus, the founder of Art of stillness, a beautiful temple that he generously invited us to join.
Magnus Fridh is a Swedish author, meditation teacher and yoga instructor based in Stockholm. He began meditating in his teens and later deepened his studies through Tibetan Buddhism and university studies in Indology, with a focus on Tibetan and Sanskrit.
He teaches yoga, meditation and breathwork internationally, blending traditional contemplative practices with a grounded and accessible approach to modern life. Magnus is both a practitioner of Tibetan Vajrayana Buddhism and a dedicated Ashtanga Yoga student.
In his classes, students are invited not only to sweat and be challenged physically, but also to explore the deeper stages of stillness, presence and inner awareness.
He is the author of The Art of Stillness in a Noisy World (Hardie Grant), translated into several languages, and has also translated the Buddhist classic The 37 Practices of a Bodhisattva from Tibetan into Swedish.
Each year he leads journeys to Nepal for students wishing to explore meditation, monastery life and the living traditions connected to the birthplace of the Buddha.
