Touch is one of the most natural things there is.

And still, many of us experience a lack of it —
not only when we are alone, but also in relationships.

Somewhere along the way, touch has become something limited.
Something that belongs only to certain roles, certain situations, certain people.

But the need for touch doesn’t follow those rules.

It’s a basic human need.
Something that supports our sense of safety, connection and wellbeing.

It’s easy to avoid topics that feel complicated.
Physical touch is definitely one of them.

There are so many boundaries, personal experiences, cultural differences, uncertainty – A lot that can make it feel unclear.

But touch is not something we can simply opt out of.

It’s a basic human need.

Our nervous system depends on for safety, regulation, and connection.

That’s why avoiding the topic doesn’t really solve anything.
It just leaves us without the language or understanding we would need.

AUVO Practitioner Training is for practitioners who want to support the body through safety, attunement, and regulation – not intensity.

At its core, AUVO is a touch-based approach that helps the nervous system settle enough for the body to soften, organise, and receive.

Rather than trying to push change through force, pressure, or doing more, AUVO invites a different kind of work:
slower, more precise, more listening-based, and more responsive to what the body is communicating in the moment.

This is one of the most important things our students learn during training:
The client doesn’t know if you do a technique slightly differently.
Or if the order of the touches changes.

But the client immediately feels if the practitioner starts to hesitate or rush.

That’s why, in the practice phase, perfection is not the most important thing.
The most important thing is calmness 🙏

This doesn’t mean skills don’t matter.
Good technique comes with repetition and experience.

In touch, the practitioner’s inner state is always communicated.
When the practitioner stays calm, the client on the table can also soften.

And this is exactly why this can’t be learned only through theory.
Calmness, presence, and confidence grow through hands-on practice, one encounter at a time.

This weekend our first Swedish practitioners graduated and the next ones are having their training. It’s always so great how these moments show clearly how the skills begins to unfold.
