A grateful journey - From Hospital Practice to Opening Her Own Clinic — A Physiotherapist's Journey From Hospital Practice to Opening Her Own Clinic After 18 years in the physiotherapy profession, Angie Wong took a meaningful step by opening her own clinic in Tanjong Pagar.
Her practice is built on years of hospital and clinic experience, with most patients coming through personal referrals — a reflection of long-standing trust.
She graduated in 2008 and trained in both the United Kingdom and Shanghai, developing an integrated treatment approach that combines Western physiotherapy with selected Eastern techniques such as dry needling and nerve resetting. Earlier in her career, Wong worked at an intense pace, often seeing 30 to 40 patients a day during peak periods.
After the pandemic, she made a deliberate decision to slow down, allowing more time and attention for each patient. Today, she treats around 10 patients daily, focusing on personalised and comprehensive care. She notes a growing rise in stress-related conditions, including headaches, neck and shoulder tension, and digestive issues.
Her clinic is equipped with reformer beds for Pilates-based therapy. By integrating physiotherapy with therapeutic Pilates, Wong aims to support long-term rehabilitation, helping patients manage both physical strain and mental stress more sustainably
