Orego 💙 Helping You Support Others with Mental Health & Special Needs
🎓 Expert-Led Live Workshops & e-Courses for Parents, Educators & Caregivers

The DNA for the Company was identified some time before we settled on the name of the company – we wanted a purpose to anchor what we are doing. Without this all-important desire, we will not have started at all. We want to maximise the potential of the lives of those people who come to us by being the place where people can come to learn and grow to be a better person or to be better in what they

do. Through education, training and other forms of services, we hope to equip them with knowledge and skills to better able to dealing with life and family challenges, and to be more effective and productive at work.

‘Orego’, the name chosen to be our Company name, aptly reflects our belief. Orego is the Greek word for ‘aspire’. It means to ‘eagerly desire to accomplish some goal or purpose; to strive to attain, to aspire to, to eagerly long for’. We want to impart to people a sense of being Restored, Encouraged and Enabled.

Sometimes a child is not reacting to the present moment…
They may be reacting to a memory, fear, or experience their body still remembers.

What looks like “overreacting” can sometimes be a sign that something once felt unsafe. 👀

Every child in this room is asking for help… just in different ways.

Some become loud.
Some become silent.
Some freeze.
Some try too hard to please others.

Trauma doesn’t always look the same. 👀

Which child would you help FIRST?

DON’T say it too fast 👀

The answer is hidden between the pictures above and below.
Sometimes our minds feel the same way too — messy, crowded, and hard to explain.

A smile can hide pressure.
Silence can hide stress.
And some people are carrying more emotionally than others realize.

Slow down. Look closer.
Not every struggle is obvious.

He’s a smart child… but somehow, the results don’t show.

He studies, tries his best… yet forgets during exams or loses focus halfway.

It’s not about intelligence.
Sometimes, it’s memory, stress, or motivation holding them back.

When you fix how they learn, everything changes.

Most students sit for hours…
highlighting, memorising, trying their best to remember everything.

But when it’s time to recall, nothing sticks — not because they didn’t try, but because they were never taught how to learn.

Real learning starts when you stop copying…
and start asking why and how. That’s when the brain begins to understand — and remember.

If a child forgets instructions…
It doesn’t mean they are lazy.

It could be a working memory issue.

Signs:
- Forgetting steps easily
- Losing track while reading
- Difficulty following instructions

This is not a behavior problem.
It’s a cognitive skill that can be improved.

Many children struggle with problem-solving — not because they’re not smart, but because their logical reasoning skills are not fully developed.

When we focus only on memorising, children may know the answer… but not understand it.

👉 Real learning happens when children can think, connect, and explain.
