Something new is coming to Ohana! 👀

We’ve always believed that supporting a child goes beyond what happens in the therapy room, and we’ve been working on something that brings more of their village along for the journey.

Say hello to Ohana Connect 🤍 A new series of programmes, workshops, and bite-sized learning created for the parents, helpers, grandparents, and all the other important people in a child’s everyday life.

And we’re kicking things off with something just for the dads! 🙋‍♂️ More details (and lots more programmes!) coming very soon.

Have you been wondering whether your child might benefit from speech or feeding support, but haven’t quite found the time to take that first step?

The school holidays can be a great opportunity to gain a clearer understanding of your child’s strengths, challenges, and support needs!

Chatty Champs is a therapist-led holiday programme designed for children aged 3-6 years old who are beginning to use single words, short phrases, or use AAC to communicate.

Through play-based activities, group interactions, storytelling, games, and guided conversations, children are supported to expand their language skills while building confidence expressing themselves with others.

This programme may be suitable for children who:
💛 are learning to build longer sentences
💛 need support answering and understanding WH-questions
💛 would benefit from support participating in group interactions
💛 are building confidence communicating their ideas, thoughts, and experiences

Foodie Friends 🍓 is a gentle, therapist-led holiday programme designed to support children aged 3-6 years old in developing more positive and comfortable experiences around food and mealtimes.

Led by a speech and feeding therapist, sessions focus on food exploration through play, sensory activities, simple food preparation, and shared mealtime experiences in a safe and supportive environment. The goal is not to pressure children to eat, but to help them build familiarity, confidence, and comfort around a wider variety of foods.

This programme may be suitable for children who:

This is our hands-on holiday programme designed to support children aged 5-8 years old in developing the foundational skills needed for confident, functional handwriting.

Through movement, play, guided practice, and engaging activities, children strengthen their fine motor skills, improve letter formation, build writing endurance, and learn practical strategies to support neat and efficient handwriting.

This programme may be suitable for children who:

Still worried that hearing two languages will “confuse” your child? Don’t be! Exposure to more than one language won’t harm their development and may actually help their brain grow stronger. Research consistently shows cognitive and neurological advantages of bilingualism — including stronger executive function and metalinguistic awareness. 🧠

Children who are bilingual might blend their languages or talk a little later in each one, but that’s not a red flag. In fact, multilingualism boosts cognitive flexibility and attention. The key is to track progress across both languages — not just one. We’re here to help you do that confidently.

✨ Little Bodies, Big Moves is here to help children move with confidence this holiday!

Perfect for ages 5-8, this dynamic, play-based camp supports children in developing strong bodies, better coordination, and fundamental movement skills — all while having a great time.

In this camp, children will:
🧘 Improve their body awareness
🏋️ Build core strength, endurance, balance, and coordination
🤸 Practise jumping, catching, throwing, and other motor skills
🤝 Learn teamwork and cooperative play
💛 Grow their understanding of physical activity and healthy movement

Sessions are run by an occupational therapist, with a small 1:3 ratio to ensure every child receives thoughtful, personalised guidance.
