💞 ALPS Cares 💞

On 14 August, a team of our colleagues visited HCA Oasis@Woodlands Day Hospice for an afternoon of connection and companionship.

We spent time with the patients doing simple batik painting, singing along to KTV classics and enjoying a fun game of bingo.

It was a meaningful experience for both the patients and our volunteers, who enjoyed creating happy moments together!

ALPS is proud to announce a new Queen Bee partnership with NTUC and the Healthcare Services Employees’ Union (HSEU), launched on 19 August 2026, to strengthen workforce capabilities, accelerate business transformation, and advance sustainability across Singapore’s public healthcare supply chain.

As the healthcare sector’s first Queen Bee under NTUC’s Company Training Committee (CTC) initiative, ALPS will extend the NTUC Company Training Committee (CTC) initiative to SMEs. NTUC aims to benefit more than 100 SMEs in public healthcare supply chain, benefitting about 2,500 workers through upskilling and job redesign. Eligible companies can tap the NTUC CTC Grant, which co-funds up to 70% of qualifying transformation or training costs.

This partnership brings together unions, employers, and the public healthcare ecosystem to tackle shared challenges at a scale. ALPS will collaborate with SME partners to co-develop practical, sustainability-focused solutions that build green skills and embed more sustainable procurement and supply chain practices. The work is timely: supply-chain and procurement activities contribute to the majority of healthcare's environmental footprint, and transitioning to greener operations requires new capabilities across the workforce.

ALPS will also work closely with Singapore’s three public healthcare clusters — SingHealth, NHG Health and NUHS — to align transformation and sustainability efforts across the sector and create broader opportunities for vendors and SME partners.

We are grateful to NTUC Singapore, Healthcare Services Employees' Union (HSEU), and all partners for their support. Together we will put SMEs at the centre of transformation, strengthen career pathways, and build a greener, more resilient healthcare supply chain for Singapore.

Ministry of Health, Singapore said it regularly reviews Singapore's mask stockpile requirements to ensure the country is prepared, adding that there is sufficient stock.

Meanwhile, National Environment Agency (NEA) said Singapore is likely to expect brief periods of haze this year, rather than a prolonged duration. The agency is monitoring the number of hotspots, current wind conditions, and risk of transboundary haze, amongst other factors.
