A garden can grow so much more than plants. 🌱

At the AMGD Enabling Garden, Ms Nadhrah shared a vision of a space where confidence, skills and friendships can grow, and where every individual has the opportunity to contribute, lead and discover their own superpowers.

Through the journeys of Lina and Jerry, we’ve seen what can happen when people are given responsibility, encouragement and the right support: quiet beginnings can grow into confidence, independence and meaningful contribution.

Our hope is simple: that someone may enter this garden as a participant, return as a contributor, and one day stand here teaching someone else.

Because if that happens, we will have grown much more than a garden 💜

RUNNING TOGETHER. MOVING FOR INCLUSION

Together with Running Dept, we took every step with one shared purpose: to show that inclusion means making space for everyone to be part of the journey. 🤝

Because it’s not about how fast you go or how far you can run, it’s about moving forward together.

And we’re just getting started! Our upcoming AMGD Inclusion Run brought together people of all abilities for an evening of movement, connection and community.

What are we really planting and growing at the AMGD Enabling Garden at Enabling Village?

At our groundbreaking ceremony on 8 August, our Guest-of-Honour, Mr Eric Chua, reminded us that inclusion is not only about making space, but about creating opportunities for every person to contribute meaningfully.

For us at AMGD and Reta Social Enterprise, this garden represents more than plants. It represents confidence, friendships, dignity, employment and possibilities for persons of all abilities.

Every customer who dines at AMGD Superfood Restaurant, orders from AMGD online, supports our vending machines or joins us at the garden is part of this mission. Every meal helps support the jobs, training and pathways we are creating for persons with disabilities.

We are proud to be a commercial business that also champions inclusion and creates meaningful opportunities for those who are often left out. In just one year, we have created 20 jobs — and as AMGD grows, we hope our impact will grow too.
