FOLKS. Hear me out… It’s 2026… let’s not cry over vegetables anymore! 🙅‍♀️🧅
We’ve all been there: standing in the kitchen, chopping an onion, crying like we just watched the saddest movie ever. But the Happy Chop Tearless Onions from Woolies are an absolute game-changer! 🛒

🚨 “Are they safe to eat? What’s the catch?!” 🚨

Don’t worry, there’s no weird lab-chemistry here! They are 100% safe, natural, and completely non-GMO. These legend-tier onions were developed over 25 years using traditional cross-breeding techniques, just pairing naturally sweeter, lower-acid onion varieties until they got it right.

Because they have lower levels of the natural compounds that usually make your eyes sting, you get all the onion flavor without the dramatic breakdown over the cutting board! 🙌

Sweeter, milder, and zero tears. Meal prep just got an upgrade.

Have you tried them yet, or are you still loyal to the kitchen goggles? Drop a comment below!👇

I’m honestly obsessed with Qetoe Rice 🍚✨ It’s such a good swap when you want something lighter but still satisfying. The texture is on point, and it goes perfectly with rich curries, stir-fries, and all your favourite Asian dishes.

If you’re watching your carb intake, this is a great alternative — it has about 1/4 the carbs of regular rice for the same portion 🙌

That said, it’s worth noting it doesn’t have the same nutrient density as whole grains, so if carbs aren’t a concern, brown rice is still the better option nutritionally.

Balance is key, and this just makes it easier depending on your goals 💯

My version of the Viral No‑Water Chicken Soup
All flavour. No added water. Naturally rich, nourishing broth ❤️ This viral recipe works because the chicken and vegetables release their own juices as they cook low and slow. The result? A deeply savoury soup with less sodium but serious umami.

🍲 No‑Water Chicken Soup
Ingredients
• 1 whole chicken (about 1 kg)
• 2 brown onion, thinly sliced
• 1/2 red onion, thinly sliced
• 1 apple, cored and thinly sliced
• 5 red dates, 6 cloves garlic, 2 stalks spring onion (to stuff chicken)
• 200 g shiitake mushrooms, sliced
• 200 g pumpkin, very thinly sliced
• 1/4 large wombok, thinly sliced

🔥 Method
1. Sautéed onions with 2 tbsp oil.
2. Add apples.
3. Place the chicken in a large, heavy‑based pot or casserole dish.
4. Pack all wombok around and on top of the chicken.
5. Cover with a tight‑fitting lid. Do not add water.
6. Cook on very low heat for 90 minutes
7. Season with soy sauce to taste or enjoy as is if chicken was marinated or as says, with some shallots!

Simple. Nourishing. Delicious.
Save this recipe and try it at home 🤍 ✨

Got leftover rice? Don’t let it go to waste!
I’ve been air‑frying mine and OMG — it turns into the crunchiest, yummiest salad topping ever. 🥗✨

Any rice works, but using flavoured rice (think garlic rice, turmeric rice, fried rice, coconut rice…) takes it to a whole new level. Just pop it in the air fryer until golden and crispy, then sprinkle over your salad for extra texture and flavour.

Zero waste. Maximum crunch. 10/10 recommend. 🔥🍚💚

🍜✨ Instant noodles usually get a bad rap among health nuts — and honestly, for good reason. More than 90% are deep-fried and basically empty calories.
But let’s be real… there’s nothing more comforting than slurping hot noodles in a steaming bowl of soup on a cold winter night (or after a few drinks). It just hits different.

So when this healthier version was introduced to me, I had high hopes. From my POV, it has huge potential — it just needs a few tweaks:

1️⃣ A little more spice and texture (think dried spring onions or freeze-dried egg bits like you get in Korean and Japanese cup noodles)
2️⃣ Looser noodle strands during drying — right now it clumps together instead of fluffing up in the cup
3️⃣ A richer, more opaque broth for better mouthfeel — good broth usually gets that depth from collagen and slow-simmered ingredients

Happy to be a taste tester and give feedback anytime 👀
I really hope this improves and fills the gap for a healthy cup noodle option.

Next up: trying the pasta and rice range… stay tuned ✨

Living in Australia has its perks, but my heart (and stomach) will always belong to the SG hawker center. 🇸🇬🥘 also happy to be at where Lady gaga sat

I didn’t realize how spoilt we were until I moved away. There’s truly nothing like the magic of a $5 Michelin-level meal, the chaotic clatter of trays, and the “auntie” who knows your Kopi order by heart, and call you “handsome” 帅哥。

In SG, you can satisfy a 12 PM or a 12 AM craving within a 5-minute walk. It may not all be healthy but still more nutritious than some ultra processed ready-to-eat meals.
To my friends back home: Don’t take that neighborhood corner for granted. Smile brighter at your kopi auntie uncle
