WORKSHOP FOR EXPECTANT PARENTS β Are you truly ready for labour, breastfeeding, and your baby's first days?
Most mums-to-be spend weeks picking a stroller and packing the hospital bag β but so few are taught what their own body actually needs to sustain a healthy pregnancy, cope with labour and recovery, and keep going in those exhausting early newborn weeks. And when it comes to feeding baby, breastfeeding often gets talked about as just "the best option" β when really, it's the one feeding method your baby's body is biologically wired to expect, built to deliver exactly the nutrition and immune protection they need, exactly when they need it.
This workshop is designed to close that gap. You'll learn from three specialists, each going deep into their own area, so you leave with real, usable knowledge instead of a checklist:
πΈ Empowered Beginnings: Preparing for Birth and Postnatal Wellness
Ms. Pamela Lim, Childbirth & Postnatal Wellness Educator, Health Psychology Researcher (ABAS | Joyful Parenting) β how prepared is your body, really, to sustain a healthy pregnancy, get you through birth, and carry you into postnatal recovery? Learn what your body needs at each stage so you're not just hoping for the best, but genuinely ready for it.
π€± Getting Started with Breastfeeding: Breastfeeding in the Early Days
Ms. Thiri Win Shein, IBCLC (Mount Elizabeth Orchard Hospital) β why breastfeeding isn't simply "the healthier choice" but the way your baby's body is designed to be fed, and how to get it right from day one.
π¨ββοΈ Care for Your Newborn β Early Childhood Nutrition
Dr. Darryl Lim, Consultant Paediatrician (Kinder Clinic | Mount Alvernia Hospital) β a paediatrician's perspective on newborn care and nutrition, so you understand your baby's needs, not just guess at them.
