Seen those round marks and wondered if they hurt? They're not bruises.

Cupping is a traditional, non-invasive option that draws gently on the skin to support circulation. The marks are a normal response and usually fade within days. Whether it's suitable for you depends on your condition.

Curious? DM 'CUPPING' and our team will explain.

Most people walk into their first acupuncture session expecting to feel numb.

What actually happens is closer to this: a needle goes in, you feel a dull heaviness or a small pulse, and somewhere in the next thirty minutes โ€” sometimes during the session, sometimes two days later โ€” the pain that's been with you for weeks starts to let go.

That's not magic. And it's not a painkiller. Acupuncture works by signalling the body to do something it had stopped doing on its own โ€” increase circulation to a stuck area, release the muscle that's been protecting an injury, calm the nervous system that's been amplifying the pain signal.

Where it tends to help most:
โ†ณ Neck and shoulder tension from desk work
โ†ณ Lower back pain that comes and goes
โ†ณ Knee discomfort from running, walking, or just standing all day
โ†ณ Frozen shoulder, tennis elbow, sciatica
โ†ณ Headaches that start at the base of the skull

What we tell first-time patients:

Don't wait until the pain is constant. The body responds better to acupuncture when an issue is still episodic โ€” when it's been there 3 weeks, not 3 years. The longer pain settles in, the more sessions it usually takes to clear.

Physician Chen Shu Bee sees pain patients across our network and works closely with patients managing chronic conditions alongside Western treatment.

๐Ÿ”– Save this if you've been ignoring something for too long.
