still smiling 😄
I’m very happy to share that our **Agegracefully LaserStick Collections** has won the **Eldercare Innovation Award 2026** in the category of **Assistive Living Solution**.
For a mini team with a big heart, this award means a lot.
What makes it extra special is that the LaserStick was never just about creating another product. It came from a very real desire to help persons with Parkinson’s overcome freezing, move with more confidence, and live with greater dignity and independence. So to see this work recognised in this way is deeply encouraging.
Honestly, moments like this remind me that sometimes a simple idea, pursued stubbornly enough, can become something meaningful.
A big thank you to my lecturer in the SUSS Gerontology programme, **Dr Kelvin Tan**, and my classmate, **Ashley Lam**, for capturing the precious and timely moments during the award presentation gala dinner. Without the photos, I would only have my own excited face in my memory 😄
I’m also deeply grateful to **Dr Chloe Chung**, Principal Physiotherapist, TTSH NNI; **Alvin Tan**, Director, Assistive Technology, SG Enable; and **Phyllis Lim**, Executive Director, Parkinson Society Singapore, for believing in us and for your strong testimony and support for the Agegracefully LaserStick Collection.
This win is not just about an award on the shelf. It is an encouragement to keep going, keep improving, and keep building solutions that can make ageing a little better and a little kinder.
Thank you to everyone who has supported me, believed in me, challenged me, and cheered me on. I share this joy with all of you.
And yes… last night, the LaserStick collection walked away with a prize 😄
