Most dads will say they're fine. Mr. Ong Thiam Hock thought so too.

He had noticed some breathlessness while jogging, but didn't think much of it. He was in his sixties, a little fatigue felt normal enough.

It was his daughter who encouraged him to go for a health screening. One check led to another, and eventually, a diagnosis: a fully blocked artery that required a heart bypass surgery.

Today, Mr. Ong is doing well. And he'll be the first to tell you his daughter's persistence made all the difference.

Behind every blood transfusion is an unseen act of generosity, a stranger who chose to show up, so someone else could return home to their loved ones.

In operating theatres, cancer wards, and delivery rooms across Singapore, donated blood makes the difference between uncertainty and relief. Each donation is ordinary on the surface, but means the world to the person receiving it. 🫶
