WHY ARE YOU WORRIED? JESUS ALREADY SPOKE.
📖 John 14:25–27
Jesus was preparing His disciples for His departure. He knew uncertainty, fear, and grief were coming—but instead of leaving them with fear, He gave them a promise:
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you.” — John 14:27
🕊️ The deeper message
Notice that Jesus doesn’t say:
“I will give you an easy life.”
He says:
“I will give you My peace.”
That’s completely different.
Jesus knew the disciples were about to face circumstances that could shake them. Yet He wanted them to understand that peace doesn’t depend on peaceful circumstances.
You can have storms around you and still have peace within you.
You can have unanswered questions and still trust God.
You can be walking through uncertainty and still say:
“Jesus is with me.”
❤️ “Not as the world gives”
The world often defines peace as:
“Everything is going well.”
Jesus defines peace differently:
“I am with you even when everything isn’t going well.”
The world’s peace can disappear when circumstances change.
Christ’s peace remains because Christ remains.
And Jesus says:
“Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”
That’s not Jesus denying that trouble exists.
He’s telling His followers:
Don’t let trouble become the master of your heart.
🔥 And notice the Holy Spirit connection
Verse 26 says the Holy Spirit will teach and remind us of what Jesus said.
Then verse 27 speaks about peace.
That’s powerful.
The Holy Spirit reminds us of Jesus’ words when our emotions are trying to make us forget them.
When fear says, “You’re alone.”
The Spirit reminds you:
“Jesus is with you.”
When anxiety says, “Everything is falling apart.”
The Spirit reminds you:
“Trust God.”
When your heart says, “I can’t do this.”
The Spirit reminds you:
“My peace I give you.”
🙏 Prayer
Lord Jesus,
Thank You for giving me a peace that the world cannot manufacture and circumstances cannot steal.
When my heart is troubled, help me remember Your words.
When fear rises, remind me that You are with me.
When I don’t understand what is happening, teach me to trust You.
Holy Spirit, bring the words of Jesus back to my heart when I need them most.
I surrender my worries, my questions, and my future to You.
I choose Your peace over fear.
Let my heart remain anchored in Jesus, even when the world around me is shaking.
In Jesus’ name,
Amen. 🕊️❤️
“The presence of a storm doesn’t mean the absence of God’s peace.”
