Slovenian medical students are coming together to help healthcare workers across the country in these difficult times.
At SloMSIC - ZŠMS we've started a project helping them with childcare while Slovenia is battling the coronavirus. 💚
Dear International friends,
in the past days since the COVID-19 epidemic manifested in Slovenia, medical students have, in the spirit of solidarity and meaningful youth participation, assembled to reduce the hardships of health professionals around the country by providing daycare to the children of those that are right now spending countless hours providing health services to those most in need. The response from volunteers has been above and beyond expectations, for which we are extremely grateful.
Difficult times have a tendency to exemplify weaknesses and showcase hardships we experience - but we must never forget or underestimate the fact that they, above all, highlight our humanity, our solidarity, and our extraordinary ability to care for one another. This can manifest on all levels, from the highest global level to the simplest acts within our local communities, within which we should all seek ways to contribute.
May the message of solidarity carry us all the way through!
