If you understand the patterns of transmission of infectious diseases, you'll realise Sierra Leone and the neighbouring countries are a bit advantageous because of geography.

We however must not let our guard down because the Bundibugyo strain of Ebola has a fetality rate of about 40-80% and all existing vaccines and therapeutic are less effective, .

Another important thing we must bear in mind is global response is weakened as a result of the United States withdrawal from the WHO the closure of USAID and reduction of funding for CDC which played some vital roles in the 2014 Ebola outbreak in West Africa.

We must implement effective hand washing in all public spaces especially hospitals and clinics nationwide.
