✨ What is a Pap Smear? ✨
A Pap smear is a simple test that checks for early changes in the cervix (the lower part of the womb). These changes can lead to cervical cancer if not treated early.

✅ Why is it important?

Detects early warning signs before cancer develops.

Saves lives by catching problems early.

Also shows infections or inflammation.

✅ Who should get it?

Women 21 years and older.

Every 3 years between ages 21–29.

From 30–65 years, every 3–5 years (sometimes combined with HPV testing).

✅ Is it painful?

It may feel a little uncomfortable, but it is quick, safe, and not painful for most women.

👉 Remember: Cervical cancer is preventable. A Pap smear is the easiest way to protect yourself.
