🩰 What is an Arabesque?

An arabesque is one of the most elegant and fundamental positions in ballet. It’s a pose where a dancer stands on one leg while the other leg is extended straight behind the body.
The upper body is lifted and lengthened, and the arms are positioned in different ways depending on the style or variation.

✨ Key Features of an Arabesque:
• One leg is supporting (on the ground)
• The other leg is stretched behind (lifted off the floor)
• The body stays long, lifted, and balanced
• Arms are placed gracefully to create beautiful lines.
