Healthy families start with informed choices.

Today marked the final day of the 4-day workshop on developing powerful and community-friendly messages for the different family planning options available for Emaswati.

The workshop also focused on finalizing a communication guide for a new family planning option (HIUCD / loop) which is now available in selected health facilities, including MSF Matsapha Clinic. Participants also pre-tested the developed messages to ensure they are clear, culturally appropriate, and easily understood by communities.

One message remained at the heart of the discussions:

“Children are a blessing from God, but let us plan when to receive the gift so that we are able to take care of it.”

Family planning methods are safe, effective, and available in both public and private health facilities across Eswatini.

Special thank you to CHAI Eswatini for supporting this important engagement as we continue strengthening reproductive health communication and empowering communities with accurate information.

Together, we build healthier families and stronger communities.

Healthy communities begin with protected families. Vaccination remains one of the most effective ways to prevent disease outbreaks, reduce illness, and save lives. When communities choose immunization, they help create safer environments for children, families, and future generations.

Vaccinated Communities = Healthy Communities

Vaccines save lives, protect families, and build stronger communities. When more people are vaccinated, we reduce the spread of dangerous diseases and protect those who are most vulnerable — especially children, pregnant women, the elderly, and people with weakened immune systems.

A healthy community starts with each one of us taking action. Make sure yours or your child’s immunizations are up to date and encourage others to do the same.

Visit your nearest health facility for routine immunization services.Together, we can build safer and healthier communities through vaccination.

Today the health promotion unit in collaboration with the National Malaria Programme under the ministry of health successfully held a walk from Mayiwane to Buhleni town in commemoration of World Malaria Day. This event was attended by neighboring schools from Mayiwane and Ndzingeni Inkhundla. The aim was to sensitize, educate and raise awareness on Malaria which continues to affect people of Eswatini.
The day was commemorated through a walk, aerobics, health talk, dance and drama.

Community members are encouraged to remain vigilant and seek immediate medical attention at their nearest health facility if they experience signs and symptoms of malaria such as fever, chills, headaches, body weakness, vomiting, or sweating. Early detection and treatment save lives. Together, we can prevent malaria and protect our communities.

Driven to end Malaria. Now we can. Now we must.
