Thank you very much to the TERRA BKK team for the honor and the opportunity to share my perspective as an outsider looking into Thailand. Whether that perspective is right or wrong, time will be the one to tell.

Throughout this journey, I’ve learned one thing consistently: to look at everything with a heart that seeks the truth. Because within that truth, there is both goodness and beauty—things we often forget to notice.

Our GHA team and surveyors recently completed the Advanced Infection Prevention and Control (AIPC) Training Program, led by Heather Stoltzfus, MPH, RN, CIC, Program Director.

This in-depth program enhances understanding of evidence-based strategies to reduce infection risks, strengthen organizational readiness, and promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

Participants explored global standards, real-world case studies, and practical tools to elevate infection prevention excellence across healthcare systems.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated for your insights, collaboration, and dedication to improving patient safety and quality care worldwide. Together, we are raising the bar for trusted healthcare globally.

I had the opportunity to visit Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center in Guangzhou, China 🇨🇳, to introduce the development and review of international accreditation standards 🌐.

As one of China’s leading hospitals dedicated to women’s and children’s health, Guangzhou Women and Children’s Medical Center is the largest institution of its kind in central and southern China, integrating prevention, treatment, healthcare, research, and education.

📍 Located at No. 9 Jin Sui Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou, the center operates across five campuses with over 2,400 beds, and enjoys a national reputation in pediatrics.
Key highlights include:
• Ranked 4th nationally in pediatric surgery (Fudan University Rankings)
• Ranked 8th in pediatric medicine, with five nationally recognized key clinical specialties (respiratory diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, surgery, neonatology, and genetics & endocrinology)
• 10 provincial-level key specialties

The center is also distinguished for:
• Heart transplants (18 per year)
• Stem cell transplants (50 per year)
• Gene therapy
• Da Vinci robotic surgery
• Fetal medicine

🌏 International collaborations include partnerships with Boston Children’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. The center also serves as a national training base for maternal and child health, aligned with China’s Belt and Road Initiative.

To enhance global patient services, the hospital established an International Medical Center, serving international patients and expatriates in Guangdong Province.
