รางจืด Thumbergia laurifolia
ใช้ปรุงเป็นยาถอนพิษไข้ เป็นยาพอกบาดแผล น้ำร้อนลวก ไฟไหม้ ทำลายพิษยาฆ่าแมลง พิษจากดื่มเหล้ามากเกินไป หรือยาเบื่อชนิดต่างๆ เข้าสู่ร่างกายโดยตั้งใจหรือไม่ตั้งใจก็ตาม เมื่ออยู่ในสถานที่ห่างไกล การนำส่งแพทย์ต้องใช้เวลา อาจทำให้คนไข้ถึงแก่ชีวิตได้ ถ้ามีต้นรางจืดปลูกอยู่ในบ้าน ใช้ใบรางจืดไม่แก่ไม่อ่อนเกินไปนัก หรือรากที่มีอายุเกิน 1 ปีขึ้นไป และมีขนาดเท่านิ้วชี้ มาใช้เป็นยาบรรเทาพิษเฉพาะหน้าก่อนนำส่งโรงพยาบาล (รากรางจืดจะมีตัวยามากกว่าใบ 4-7 เท่า) ดินที่ใช้ปลูก ถ้าผสมขี้เถ้าแกลบหรือผงถ่านป่น จะช่วยให้ต้นรางจืดมีตัวยามากขึ้น
