This Friday, Saturday & Sunday, the Kalim Patong Surf Contest is on at Kalim Bay and Island Active will be there representing in the Over 40s Men’s Shortboard Division! 💪🏄‍♂️

🚴‍♂️🌊 MANTA5 HYDROFOIL BIKE — FULL DAY HIRE

This isn’t your average bike ride.

The Manta5 Hydrofoil Bike is a seriously unique water-sport experience — combining cycling, balance and hydrofoiling out on the water.

And we’ll be straight with you:

This is challenging.

It’s best suited to people who are already reasonably fit, active and comfortable with cycling, water sports or other balance-based activities.

Don’t expect to jump on and be cruising in 10 minutes.

Your first few hours are about learning the balance, getting the feel of the bike and learning how to get up onto the foil. Give it time — after around 4 hours you should be getting the hang of it and starting to cruise.

That’s why we offer it as a FULL-DAY HIRE.

🌴 WHERE CAN YOU GO?

Once you’ve got the hang of it, the possibilities open up.

You can ride along the coast from Kamala towards Laem Singh Beach, explore different areas and build your confidence and riding ability.

Want to make a day of it?

We can arrange it.

We can deliver the bike to your chosen launch location, collect it later in the afternoon, organise guided rides, meet you at different locations or put together longer rides once you’re experienced enough.

And if you get hooked and come back for another day, we’ll look after you with discounted repeat-hire rates.

🤙 GUIDED OR GO SOLO

GUIDED
We’ll take you down, get you set up and help you learn the bike and technique.

SELF-GUIDED
Once you’re confident, pick up the bike and go explore on your own.

For self-guided hire, you’re responsible for the bike throughout the hire period, including any damage or loss.

⚠️ RIDE RESPONSIBLY

This is a water sport, not a toy.

Ride in suitable deep water away from swimmers, shallow areas, rocks, boats and other hazards. Follow local conditions and instructions, and don’t attempt to ride where the hydrofoil could contact the bottom.

Not for everyone. That’s exactly what makes it so good.
