🚨 Malaria Cases Are Increasing in Karenni State
As the rainy season continues, malaria cases are rising across Karenni State, especially among conflict-affected communities and internally displaced people (IDPs).
Despite many challenges, KnMHC health teams continue to provide malaria testing and treatment, conduct health education sessions, and reach remote communities with essential health services.
However, treatment alone is not enough. Preventing malaria is equally important. Many families urgently need:
🦟 Long-lasting insecticide-treated mosquito nets (LLINs)
🦟 Mosquito repellents
🦟 Other essential malaria prevention supplies
KnMHC is reaching out to donors and partners to secure essential malaria prevention supplies for vulnerable communities. Together, we can reduce the spread of malaria and protect the health of those most at risk.

🚨 ကရင်နီပြည်တွင် ငှက်ဖျားရောဂါ ဖြစ်ပွားမှု မြင့်တက်လာနေပါသည်။

မိုးရာသီကာလအတွင်း ကရင်နီပြည်ရှိ စစ်ဘေးသင့်ပြည်သူများနှင့် နေရပ်စွန့်ခွာပြည်သူများ (IDPs) အကြား ငှက်ဖျားရောဂါ ဖြစ်ပွားမှုသည် ဆက်လက်မြင့်တက်လာလျက်ရှိပါသည်။

သို့သော် ငှက်ဖျားရောဂါကို ကုသပေးရုံဖြင့် မလုံလောက်ဘဲ ကြိုတင်ကာကွယ်ရေး သည်လည်း အလွန်အရေးကြီးပါသည်။

Every patient deserves access to healthcare, regardless of where they live or how difficult the journey may be.

These photos reflect the reality faced by many communities across Karenni State, Myanmar, where patients often need to be carried for hours—or even days—through mountains, forests, muddy paths, and challenging terrain to reach medical care.

Community members, volunteers, health workers, and family members work together to transport those who are sick, injured, pregnant, or in urgent need of medical attention.

Despite ongoing challenges, insecurity, poor road access, and limited transportation options, the spirit of solidarity and compassion remains strong.

These journeys are not only about moving a patient from one place to another; they are about saving lives, preserving dignity, and ensuring that no one is left behind.

KnMHC extends its heartfelt appreciation to all community volunteers, health workers, referral teams, and family members who tirelessly support life-saving patient referrals under extremely challenging conditions.

Together, we continue to bring essential healthcare services closer to those who need them most.

လူနာတိုင်းသည် မည်သည့်နေရာတွင် နေထိုင်သည်ဖြစ်စေ၊ ဆေးကုသမှုရရှိရန် လမ်းခရီး မည်မျှခက်ခဲသည်ဖြစ်စေ ကျန်းမာရေးစောင့်ရှောက်မှု ရရှိခွင့်ရှိပါသည်။

လုံခြုံရေးဆိုင်ရာ စိန်ခေါ်မှုများ၊ လမ်းပန်းဆက်သွယ်ရေး ခက်ခဲမှုများနှင့် သယ်ယူပို့ဆောင်ရေး အကန့်အသတ်များ ရှိနေသော်လည်း အချင်းချင်း ကူညီရိုင်းပင်းလိုသော စိတ်ဓာတ်နှင့် လူသားချင်းစာနာမှုတို့သည် ခိုင်မာစွာ ရှင်သန်နေဆဲဖြစ်ပါသည်။

Behind every medicine that reaches conflict-affected communities, there are countless untold journeys, sacrifices, and acts of solidarity.
To ensure essential medicines and medical supplies reach targeted areas, local volunteers and community members worked tirelessly — carrying heavy loads across forests, mountains, rivers, and difficult terrains, both day and night.
Some traveled by truck, some by boat, and many carried supplies on their backs through long and difficult routes so that patients, mothers, children, and vulnerable communities could continue receiving lifesaving healthcare support.
🙏 Karenni Mobile Health Committee would like to sincerely thank all volunteers, local communities, transport teams, and supporters who contributed their strength, time, and courage in this humanitarian effort.

Pharmacy Supervisor (1 Position)
📍 Duty Station: Karenni State
🕒 Permanent Position (Minimum 1 Year)

We are looking for a responsible and motivated person to manage and supervise pharmacy services and help provide safe and quality medicines to our communities.

🔎 Main Responsibilities:
• Oversee daily pharmacy work
• Ensure medicines are stored and dispensed safely
• Manage stock and monitor expiry dates
• Support and guide pharmacy staff
• Keep proper records and reports

✅ Requirements:
• Certified pharmacy training
• At least 2 years of experience in pharmacy work (supervisory experience is an advantage)
• Good leadership and teamwork skills
• Basic computer skills (Word, Excel, Email)
• Able to work independently and in a team

KnMHC မှ မိတ်ဖက်အဖွဲ့အစည်းများနှင့် အသင်းအဖွဲ့အချို့၏ အလှူငွေဖြင့် တကိုယ်ရည်သန့်ရှင်းရေးအသုံးအဆောင် ပစ္စည်းများဖြစ်သည့် ဆပ်ပြာမှုန့်၊ ဆပ်ပြာခဲနှင့် ခေါင်းလျှော်ရည်များကို သတ်မှတ်ထားသော ရှားတောမြို့ရှိ အိမ်ခြေ (၇၁) အိမ်သို့ သွားရောက် ဖြန့်ဝေပေးခဲ့ပါသည်။

KnMHC, with the support of partner organizations and some associations, distributed personal hygiene items such as washing powder, soap bars, and shampoo to a total of (71) households in Shardaw Township as previously identified.
