Myth: "If I get really sick abroad, I'll just fly home and deal with it there."
Truth: some emergencies need treatment within hours, not after a 12-hour flight. And here's the part nobody mentions: if you're visibly unwell, the airline can refuse to board you. Fit-to-fly rules are real, and they don't care about your plans.
The right move is getting treated properly where you are. That's what good travel insurance is for.
