Camp K-9 ขอเชิญชวนเจ้าของสุนัขและท่านที่สนใจเข้าร่วมสัมมนาเชิงปฏิบัติการปฐมพยาบาลเบื้องต้นที่สำคัญสำหรับสุนัข ในหัวข้อ “Canine safety + Training”
โดย คุณ จอห์นนี่ โอดอนเนลล์
ที่จะมาถ่ายทอดความรู้และประสบการณ์อย่างเต็มที่

เนื้อหาหลักสูตรในการอบรมประกอบด้วย
เรียนรู้วิธีทำCPR
เรียนรู้วิธีการทำแผลเบื้องต้น
เรียนรู้วิธีการปฐมพยาบาลเบื้องต้น

รวมถึงวิธีจัดการในสถานการณ์ต่างๆ อาทิ:
-การตรียมรับมือกับสถานการณ์อันตราย/ การเตรียมความพร้อมสำหรับเหตุการณ์ฉุกเฉิน
-การเตรียมพร้อมตอบสนองต่อภัยพิบัติ
-การจัดการความปลอดภัยส่วนบุคคลและความเครียด
-การเรียนรู้วิธีตรวจหาสัญญาณชีพ
-แนวทางการสังเกตและแยกแยะลักษณะพฤติกรรมปกติ และ พฤติกรรมผิดปกติ
-การปฐมพยาบาลเบื้องต้นในสถานการณ์คับขัน (สุนัขกัดกัน, การบาดเจ็บ, การอุดตันของทางเดินหายใจ, การทำ CPR)

By now, we should all have a few weeks of pet food stored appropriately in airtight/waterproof containers at home. Drinking water should not be an issue, BUT we should also have water and food set aside in an emergency evacuation (evac) backpack. Just because we are sheltering in place, does not mean our house can't burn down or that earthquakes are no longer going to be a problem here in California. Our 5-minute evac bag should be pre-packed, staged and ready to grab so that you can get out of the house within five minutes. I will go over the evac bag at another time, but it needs to contain food & water for you and your pets for 48 hours. It should also have a change of clothing, money and important information such as maps, documents, passwords and that kind of stuff.
We should plan at least five ways to obtain pet food. We should confirm that supply chains are working and operating appropriately. We will need to evaluate local brick & mortar stores or online delivery options to ensure that they are stocked with what we want or at the very least what you need. I know from experience that sometimes good ole plan A, can shockingly not be available or be delayed. Don't let that leave you with your jaw on the floor, grumbling about what BS this is! Just move on to plan B and so on.
If you or your pets need special items, like medications prescriptions, eyeglasses, prosthetic limbs or anything else specific to your well being, try and have backups pre-packed in your evac bag or staged alongside your bag.
Do we know if our regular veterinarian is open and accepting patients? Are they limiting appointments? Emergency only? If our regular veterinarian is not accepting patients, who is and what are the conditions? These are all things we should find out before the need arises. The, at least five plan applies here as well. Start with your trusted regular veterinarian and work your way out from where you live.
Things are not normal right now. We need to think calmly, anticipate and avoid problems that may develop and then take action. Let's deal with things as they are right now, not how it once was or how we want it to be. Have fun, stay healthy & alert.

My apologies. Due to the fluid nature of the fires and power outages we must cancel classes on November 2nd & November 3rd. Though the irony is not lost on me... but we must have a safe and stable classroom environment in order to teach. I do not feel that the current situation would be comfortable or safe.
