Just came across this video I created last year. I’m very lucky that my Italian mamma, her parent’s and their brothers and sisters moved to Wiltshire from Italy in 1950s. They all@started off as farm workers and came with very little to create a better life. My aunty Maria in this video (aged 91) is still there in a house she’s had for over 70 years, and I visit her nearly every month. She’s still the local cake maker and you can’t set foot in her home without having a cup of tea and a slice of Victoria Sponge cake. Oh how very quintessentially English ☕️🫖

Most people overcomplicate health.
But the strongest, healthiest people I know. They keep it simple.

That’s how confidence grows. That’s how you stay happy.

My 8 week STRONG PILATES is back and starting on 1 June.

We lose muscle and bone mass at an increasing rate over the age of 40, and our body shape will change if we don’t change our lifestyle habits.

Into my fourth week of a nasty viral infection has made me think a lot about , and how our mental health can be so badly affected when we are forced to stop everything.

Life is sooo busy, but please try and take moments to stop otherwise you’ll end up in burn out.

Take regular moments to pause in order to rebalance, restore your focus, build resilience and learn to love yourself and the people around you a little more.

Take care of yourself and then you can take care of others.

Doesn’t always go according to plan!

Just coz we’re Pilates Instructors and are social media makes us look good, behind the scenes is whole different story. We work hard to be good at what we do. When we’re not teaching, you can find us training. Training hard. And constantly striving for perfection, and beating ourselves up if we can’t do it, even though we know it’s ok to get it wrong. To listen to your body, to do your best and modify if need to. We are all different and have different strengths and weaknesses. It what makes us unique, special and human.

What is going on with this weather? I’ve calculated we only have about 4 months of summer in the UK if we’re lucky. So the only thing to do is to join me for Pilates, then go on holiday, then repeat.
