Yesterday we watch the latest documentary from David Attemborough, a Life in our Planet.
I cried a lot. But I will save you from those details.
These movies are eye-openers and a reminder that we need to change NOW. And an opportunity for evaluating how our own lifestyle is, and how we can make it more sustainable. Here there are some ideas:
- Reduce your comsumption of everything: cloths, electricity, objects, petrol. But especially meet, dairy, fish and plastic.
- Avoid bringing more humans into the world. Why not making an already born child happy?
- Volunteer during your free time. To help restoring habitats, in plantations. To change policy. Put your knowledge abd capabilities to fight against climate change.
- Make people around you aware. Help them how important is that everyone acts NOW.
Me, I decided compromising a bit more:
- Im already vegan and grow food in sumners, but I can def reduce my consumption of chocolate and coffee (😭😳🙈💪💪), and rice.
- I will start to bake my own bread and sweets again.
- I will change to a more ethical bank (like Triodos) and will research about other changes I can do, like electricity supplier to a renewable one.
- I will try to organise free food gardening classes. Imagine if we were all growing our own food...!
What is your compromise and commitment?
