✨ Sometimes the most meaningful journeys begin with a single connection. ✨

There are moments in life that leave you feeling more grateful than words can express. 🌸

I feel deeply thankful to have shared four days of live online Reiki 1 & 2 training with the most beautiful soul.🌸

Sometimes, one connection leads us to exactly where we are meant to be. Thank you, Gary Walker-Roberts for initiating that connection, and to life's unexpected, serendipitous moments that bring people together. ✨

But above all, this journey has been about commitment, trust, and connection. ✨

Thank you Kate for your dedication to Reiki, to your learning journey, and to the process. It has been an honour to witness your growth, and I feel truly humbled by the gifts you embody.🌸

Animals always know. They don't respond to words... they respond to energy. ✨

When giving Reiki to an animal, it's important to first ask their permission. Let them know your intention, then simply wait. If they're happy to receive, they'll often come closer in their own time. If not, honour their choice and allow Reiki to flow from a distance.✨

Recently, I visited a local riding stable with some friends, one of whom was taking a lesson. I wasn't there to offer Reiki, but it became a lovely opportunity to quietly wander through the stalls and spend a few moments with the horses. 🐎

As I approached this beautiful pony, I sensed her energy was low. She was completely at ease with me gently stroking her while I shared a few minutes of Reiki. Her calm, trusting presence touched me deeply. 🌸

Animals, especially horses, cats and elephants in my experience, are incredibly sensitive to energy and frequency. It's always a privilege to witness how naturally they receive Reiki (and give it) when they're ready, and to experience the quiet partnership that unfolds between us. 🩷

Picture conservation. Army life. University. World travel. Reiki. Rescued elephants. 🐘

It sounds like several different lives, but somehow they're all mine! 🥳⬇️

How does a woman who grew up in England, dreamed of becoming a picture conservator, spend two years studying at one of the world's most prestigious nursery nurse training colleges...
..marry an army officer and travel the globe, return to university as a mature student, and eventually find herself in northern Thailand teaching Reiki, where students can practise with rescued elephants as part of their training❓

The short answer is: life. ☺️

The longer answer involves a collection of messy, wonderful, challenging, unexpected, heartbreaking, hilarious and extraordinary experiences.
Some planned, many not. 😵‍💫

Along the way there were various careers, remarkable teachers, fascinating cultures, love, loss, adventure, and more than a few plot twists. 🌀

If you're curious to know how all those seemingly disconnected pieces fit together, I'll be sharing parts of my story from time to time. 🌸

And perhaps you'll discover why the Reiki I teach today is shaped not only by lineage and training, but by a lifetime of experiences, lessons, challenges and encounters that, well, sometimes I planned, and often I didn't! 😉
