Next Level is coming. 2027.

If you've completed the 50 hour IVT Sound Healing Certification, this is where you go deeper.

Next Level is where the craft gets refined. 100 hours of advanced training over eleven days, going further into the techniques that separate a good practitioner from a true one — the precision of your singing bowl striking, Gongs, the use of your own voice, the emphasis on breath, and the steady presence that holds it all together.

The real work at this level is internal. We go into the thing underneath the technique: your own presence, your breath, and the way energy, "chi" moves through your body and into every strike. When your breath is steady and your attention is fully there, the instrument carries it. Each movement becomes cleaner, more deliberate, more alive. That's the difference between playing sound and actually moving people with it, and it's what we refine over these eleven days.

100 hours of advanced training: deeper gong work, full treatment protocols, refined striking and voice technique, and raising your own level of presence and consciousness through real hours on the bench, not theory.

This isn't a beginner course, and it isn't for everyone. It's for graduates who've been doing the work, logging real sessions, and are ready to take their practice to a professional level.

That's why it runs by application. Pre-registration is open now, and places are deliberately limited so the training stays close and hands-on.

To be eligible you'll need:
— Completion of the 50hr Sound Healing Certification
— 6 months of practice & minumum of 30 documented sessions
— A short conversation with me before your place is confirmed

100-hour advanced training · 11 days · YACEP continuing education for registered yoga teachers · Harmonia, Koh Phangan · 2027 (dates announced soon)

If you know this is your next step, pre-register now.

Before the bowls, before the gongs, before any instrument was ever made, there was the voice.
It's the only instrument you can't leave at home. And it may be the most powerful one I work with.
When you tone, sustaining a single open sound, something happens that no external instrument can replicate: the vibration is generated inside you. You become the bowl. The sound moves through bone and breath and chest, and the long, slow exhale of a tone signals safety to the whole nervous system.
Most people are afraid of their own voice. They've been told they "can't sing." But toning isn't singing. It's not about being good. It's about being willing to make sound and feel what it does.
Try this: take a breath, and on the exhale, let out a long, low "ohhh." Feel where it lands. That's where you've been holding.

We've made rest feel like failure.
Somewhere along the way, stillness became something to feel guilty about, a thing to earn once we've done enough. So we live switched on. And then we wonder why we're exhausted in a way sleep never seems to touch.
Here's what an over a thousand sessions have taught me: most people aren't tired because they don't sleep. They're tired because they never feel safe enough to stop. "Receptivity is key". That's what a sound session offers. Not one more thing to do, the opposite. A held space. A wash of sound. And the rarest permission of all: to set everything down and let your system catch up with itself.
Rest isn't the reward for the work.
Sometimes rest is the work.

People are often a little afraid of the gong. Good. That means they're listening.
The gong doesn't play a note, it plays a spectrum. Struck well, it produces a wall of overtones so dense the thinking mind can't track them. And when the mind can't track something, it does the only thing it can: it lets go.
That's the doorway. In that letting-go, the nervous system drops out of "doing" and into deep rest, the state where the body actually repairs and restores itself.
But the gong is only metal until someone stands behind it. What you feel is the players heart, the breath, the presence, the chi moving from the body, through the mallet, into the bronze. Not impressive sound. Precision and intention in every single strike.
This is why a gong bath can feel like hours of meditation compressed into minutes. You're not being entertained. You're being given permission to stop.
I've spent years learning this instrument, and it still humbles me every time.

They both sing, but they're very different instruments. One, pure quartz and a single bright tone. The other, ancient hand-beaten bronze, alive with overtones.
But the bowl is only half of it. What you really hear is the player, presence through the mallet, precision in every strike, not just impressive sound.
Crystal or metal, the true instrument is the one holding it.

The terms get used like they mean the same thing. They don't.
Both use sound. Often the same instruments. But their foundations, intentions, and approach are completely different.
Sound healing is ceremonial.
It begins before a bowl is played or a gong is struck, in how the space is prepared, how present the practitioner becomes, how receptive the participant is.
There may be intention, prayer, breath, ritual. Or simply a conscious agreement to slow down and listen.
Here, sound isn't something done to you. It's a bridge, into awareness, presence, stillness, connection.
The instrument isn't the point. The presence behind it is.
A gong, a bowl, a drum, the voice, each one just a vehicle. What shapes the experience is the practitioner, the space being held, and your willingness to receive.
Sound therapy is structured.
The intentional application of sound, vibration, frequency, vibroacoustic stimulation, binaural beats — directed toward a specific outcome.
How sound affects the body, the brain, the nervous system. Sleep, mood, attention, relaxation.
Informed by research. Measurable. Repeatable.
Less ceremony, more therapeutic application.
One asks: how can sound help us become more present?
The other asks: how can sound be applied, in a structured way, to support a specific outcome?
One moves you through feeling. The other moves you through the body.
Neither is better. They simply come from different traditions.
At Harmonia, we honour both.
The growing science of sound, vibration, and human physiology, and the timeless understanding that transformation begins with presence, intention, and relationship.
Because sometimes the most important thing isn't the sound itself.
It's how deeply we're listening.

Let's be honest about what this work is, because the wellness world loves to overpromise. Sound healing should be spoken about with clarity and integrity.

Sound healing is not magic.
It is not here to replace medicine or therapy.

But it is real.

It can help create the conditions for the body to soften, the breath to slow, and the nervous system to settle.
In that space, something ancient returns: rest, balance, and quiet.

We do not need to choose between mystery and mechanism.
Both belong here.

Sound healing is ceremonial, and the ceremony is simple:

intention + frequency = healing

Frequency is the current.
Intention is the prayer.

Not a prayer of words, but a prayer of presence.
Before thought.
Before effort.
Before the next moment begins.

The practice is both grounded and ceremonial. The mechanism matters, and so does the intention behind it.

Sound healing works best when held with presence, care, and realistic expectations. That is where trust is built, and that is where the work becomes truly transformative.
Bring that feeling into your heart.
The sound will meet you there. -Dimitri (aka Taki)-

Let's be honest about what sound healing actually is.

The instruments are the easy part. A gong, a bowl, a tuning fork, anyone can pick them up and make a nice sound. That's not the work.
What actually moves people is the person holding the space. Being present and steady enough, that the people in the room feel safe to switch off and let go. Knowing when to play and when to stay quiet. Reading what's actually happening in front of you, and keeping your own breath grounded while you do it.

That's the part most people never get taught, and it's the difference between a session that lands and one that falls flat.

So that's what we focus on. Over seven days you'll learn the instruments properly, Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, gongs, tuning forks, shruti box, drums, flutes, and vibroacoustic technique, but just as much, you'll learn how to run a real session and hold people through it.

The 2026 IVT Sound Healing Certification is a 7-day in-person immersion at Harmonia, Koh Phangan. It's for yoga teachers, bodyworkers, healers, and anyone serious about doing this as real work. YACEP-accredited, held in a purpose, built space made for deep learning, practice, and integration.

The experience of sound begins long before frequency.

It begins with presence.

The more receptive we become, the more we notice that sound is not simply entering through the ears. It is meeting the body, the nervous system, and our state of awareness in each moment.

A vibration can be heard, but it can also be felt.

The same tone may create a completely different experience depending on how it is received—through the air, through direct contact, through the hands, or through the body itself. Materials, surfaces, and points of connection all influence the way vibration is perceived.

Sound is a relationship.

As we deepen our listening, we discover that the quality of the experience is shaped not only by the sound being produced, but also by the openness with which it is received.
