The maestro often draws not only on skin, but on canvas as well. In his drawings he is often inspired by the work of Swiss artist Hansi Giger – the very one who created the image of the Alien and founded the whole direction of biomechanical surrealism.

Thought-out anatomy, complex textures, the feeling of wet organic matter and cold metal. The point here is not to “draw a monster,” but to recreate texture, depth, and the play of light and volume.

The maestro often works with this imagery to stay in artistic shape — the ability to precisely convey details and create the sense of volume and a living surface.
