Something new is on the way. ✨

I've been working on a writing course built for real students and real life — not just another five-paragraph essay formula. Story, Voice, and Purpose: A Writing Course for Real Life is coming soon, designed for high schoolers (grades 10–12) ready to write with confidence, whether that's for college applications, everyday communication, or just finding their voice on the page.

Stay tuned! More details coming very soon.

20+ years of homeschooling. 5 kids. Countless curricula.

And still, I couldn’t find a writing course that prepared students for the writing that actually matters — university, careers, real life.

So I built one. From coffee shops. One session at a time. ☕

Story, Voice, and Purpose: A Writing Course for Real Life is coming soon. Follow along for a behind-the-scenes look at how it’s coming together.

After weeks of nonstop rain, it’s a wonderful feeling to enjoy a couple days of sunny weather again ❤️❤️❤️

Coffee house work sesh today. Rainy weather. Good coffee. Good company.

Major project in the works right now for my upper level English students. What do you think it is?

Since everyone is sharing their Canva , I thought I’d join in! 😊

As an online ESL tutor, my workspace is a mix of productivity, comfort, and a little bit of fun. My laptop and iPad help keep lessons running smoothly, while a large cappuccino keeps me energized through the day. ☕️

A few other daily essentials:
🎧 Headphones
💄 Lip balm
🇹🇭 My trusty Hongthai inhaler (Thailand life!)
🐈 Visits from my neighbor’s cat
🦒 And of course, Gary the Giraffe — my emotional support giraffe and a favorite among my students!

One of the things I love most about working from home is creating a space that feels welcoming, creative, and uniquely mine.

Now I’m curious — what’s one item on your desk or workspace that you absolutely can’t live without?

Have you ever started something feeling highly motivated… only to lose energy a few weeks later?

In the newest episode of Coastal Conversations, we explore the difference between motivation and discipline — and why long-term success often depends more on consistency than inspiration.

We discuss:
• productivity culture and burnout
• unrealistic expectations created by social media
• sustainable habits and routines
• why progress is rarely linear

Perfect for advanced English learners who want to improve listening skills through meaningful real-world topics.
