IMPROVE THE QUALITY OF YOUR LIFE WITH THERAPEUTIC DOSES OF CURCUMIN

Even with all the data showing that it can help boost energy levels, cleanse the blood, heal digestive disorders, dissolve gallstones, treat infections, and prevent cancer, some health experts have been reluctant to recommend taking turmeric in medicinal doses until human clinical trials have been conducted.
But unlike pharmaceutical drugs, taking turmeric is not dangerous, and civilizations have been consuming large amounts of it for centuries as part of their normal diets.

According to consumption data collected back in the 1980s and 1990s, the average Asian person consumes up to 1,000 milligrams of turmeric a day, or as much as 440 grams per year, which equates to roughly 90 milligrams of active curcuminoids per day at higher end of the concentration spectrum.
And these figures, of course, primarily cover just the amount of turmeric consumed as food in curries and other traditional dishes, which means supplements with similar concentrations are perfectly safe and effective.

But the truth of the matter is that you can safely take much higher doses of both turmeric and curcumin, and doing so will provide even more benefits.
The Linus Pauling Institute at Oregon State University (OSU) has compiled a thorough list of turmeric's benefits with detailed information about the doses used to achieve such benefits.

ACUPUNCTURE
The Kyung Hee University Acupuncture and Meridian Science Research Center in Seoul, Korea published the following study in March of 2013: "Inserting needles into the body: a meta-analysis of brain activity associated with acupuncture needle stimulation."

The researchers used 28 brain magnetic resonance image (MRI) studies from 51 acupuncture experiments and compared them with MRI studies from tactile stimulation experiments. The theme was pain and how needle stimulation affected the brain's pain centers.

Their meta-analysis result was "....better understanding of acupuncture needle stimulation and its effects on specific activity changes in different brain regions as well as its relationship to the multiple dimensions of pain. Future studies can build on this meta-analysis and will help to elucidate the clinically relevant therapeutic effects of acupuncture."

5 GREAT FOOD SUBSTITUTIONS FOR COMMON FOOD ALLERGENS

1) Chia seeds. Popularly termed the superfood of the Incas, chia seeds make an excellent food substitute for tree nuts like walnuts, almonds, pecans, and cashews because they are high in both protein and heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids. Though not a perfect match, adding a few tablespoons of chia seeds to your morning smoothie or afternoon beverage will help add many of the same nutritional components to your diet that you would otherwise get from eating a handful of nuts every day. (http://www.naturalnews.com/chia.html)

2) Flax seeds. Flax seeds are similar to chia in that they are high in both omega-3 fatty acids and protein, and help soothe the stomach. For people with egg allergies, flax seeds make a pretty good substitute because they are hearty, nutritious, and develop a similar texture to eggs when ground and mixed with water, which means they are useful for baking. (http://www.care2.com/greenliving/flaxseed-egg-substitute.html)

An added benefit is that flaxseeds are one of the highest known sources of plant-based lignans, which act as powerful antioxidants to scavenge free radicals from the body. However, since these lignans can also act as phytoestrogens, it is best to use flax seeds sparingly in conjunction with other nutrient-dense seeds like chia. (http://www.naturalnews.com/flax.html)

3) Sunflower, h**p, and pumpkin seeds. Getting back to tree nut allergies, there are a number of other "superfood" seeds such as sunflower, h**p, and pumpkin that provide nearly all the same nutritional benefits, if not more. Sunflower seeds, for instance, are packed with healthy protein, saturated fats, vitamins and minerals, but are also high in omega-6 fatty acids compared to omega-3s. (http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/nut-and-seed-products/3079/2)

H**p seeds, on the other hand, are exceptionally high in omega-3s, and are an excellent source of vitamin E tocopherols and tocotrienols and trace minerals (http://www.naturalnews.com/029729_h**p_seeds_health.html). And pumpkin seeds are loaded with protein, healthy fats, magnesium, and zinc, all of which are important for good health (http://nutritiondata.self.com/facts/nut-and-seed-products/3066/2). When eaten together, these three superfood seeds make a great substitute for both tree nuts and eggs.

4) Leafy greens. If milk is completely off limits due to a casein intolerance, leafy greens are a great way to get healthy amounts of bioavailable calcium, as well as vitamins, minerals, and even protein. Organic kale, spinach, broccoli, cabbage, endives, mustard greens, Swiss chard, bok choy, beet greens, and watercress are all excellent substitutes for a wide range of food allergies; in fact, at least as far as overall nutrient content is concerned. Try wrapping a grass-fed burger in kale leaves, or gently pan-frying spinach and adding it to an omelet (if you can eat eggs), to boost your nutritional profile in the absence of your specific allergen.

5) Quinoa. For the millions of people that have wheat or gluten intolerance, which can include many common varieties of oats, there are already a variety of gluten-free

GROWING USE OF ALTERNATIVE THERAPIES

The latest information from the Danish National Institute of Public Health (NIPH) shows that one in four Danes have tried one or more types of alternative treatments within the past year. When it comes to MS patients, the use of alternative medicine has increased steadily over the past 15 years. In the researchers' latest study, more than half of the respondents say that they either combine conventional and alternative medicine or only use alternative medicine.

The study found that MS patients who use alternative treatments tend to have a higher level of education and to make more money at their work when compared to those who don't use alternative therapies. "Some critics are of the opinion that when alternative treatments are so popular, it is because they appeal to naive people looking for a miraculous cure. But our results indicate that it is primarily the well-educated segment that is subscribing to alternative treatments. And that using alternative treatments is part of a lifestyle choice," Skovgaard said.

His research team is currently carrying out additional analyses of the results and conducting additional interviews with MS patients based on the results of questionnaires. For example, the investigators want to find out how patients perceive any risks associated with using alternative medicine and why some people with MS turn their backs completely on mainstream medicine.

"We cannot ignore the fact that people with chronic disease use alternative treatments to a considerable extent, and that many of them seem to benefit from doing so. It doesn't help to only judge this from a medical point of view or say that alternative treatments are nonsense - rather, we must try to understand it," Skovgaard concluded, adding that he hopes that the new knowledge will improve communication about how the chronically ill use alternative treatments in combination with conventional medicine, too.

NATURAL REMEDIES TO TREAT SCIATICA

• Visit a CHIROPRACTOR: Research and countless testimonials have proven that chiropractic adjustments are key to help not only manage sciatic pain, but also correct the root cause.

• LIVE A STRESS-FREE LIFE: Whether meditation, prayer, or tai chi, find your "happy place" and stay there. Stress is the number one killer in the world and causes muscle tightness, inflammation, and a slew of other issues that will aggravate sciatica.

• EAT AN ANTI-INFLAMMATORY DIET: A diet rich in foods like turmeric, ginger, garlic, kelp, and sweet potatoes are key to pain reduction and chronic disease reversal.

• STAY HYDRATED: Drinking the right amount of pure, filtered water every day is key to preventing muscle cramps and stiffness that can contribute to sciatica. Listen to your body, it will tell you how much to drink.

• STRETCH: Lie on your back, hug one knee to your chest for 10 seconds, and then use the opposite arm to pull the knee across your body making sure to keep your hip from rising off the floor. Hold for an additional 10 seconds and repeat with the other leg. Do three reps at least three times a day.

• STAY ACTIVE: Our bodies are designed to be in constant motion. To combat the sedentary lifestyle that often contributes to sciatica, it is crucial to keep your body moving. Consider walking up the stairs instead of taking the elevator or park in the last spot and walk that extra 100 meters. Try going on walks during your lunch break. Whatever it takes, make your life a life of movement.

• CORE EXERCISES: Yoga exercises like cat-cow, plank, and downward-facing dog are important to keep your abs and core strong to help support and protect the lower back.

9 FOODS THAT CAN HELP REDUCE HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE

(1) Cayenne is in chili peppers. Using those with food is good for reducing blood pressure, even though it may not feel that way.

Herbal masters Dr. Christopher and Dr. Schulz recommend taking a teaspoon of at least 40,000 heat units of cayenne pepper powder mixed in water two times daily to support complete heart health and more.

(2) Hibiscus or Jamaica (hu-my-ca) tea on ice is well known as a refreshing beverage in the Caribbean islands, South America, and Mexico. It has been clinically proven to lower high BP. You can dowse the flame out of your mouth from cayenne with a Jamaica iced tea and double the benefits.

Dried hibiscus flower petals are used to make the tea. Some health food stores may have them. Stores specializing in Hispanic foods most likely will. Or you can order them online.

To prepare: Simply cover the bottom of a large pan thickly with the petals, then pour hot (not boiling) water over them. Cover and let it steep for a half hour. Strain while pouring into a glass container then refrigerate and use when desired.

(3) A Louisville medical center study found that snacking on raisins three times daily could reduce BP among those in a prehypertension group. Amazingly, they even used processed food snacks containing raisins. [2]

(4) The American Heart Association has discovered through research that eating three kiwis a day reduces BP.

(5) The American Chemical Society claims purple root vegetables, such as purple potatoes, have chemical properties that reduce BP.

(6) A Florida State University study found that watermelon lowers BP. In addition to watermelon's potassium contribution, they found a specific amino acid that contributes to lowering BP. [2]

(7) Speaking of potassium, don't forget to eat bananas. The Harvard Medical School reported a UK study that determined foods containing potassium nitrate were even better than supplements using potassium chloride for lowering BP.

(8) Hawthorne berries have both herbalists and mainstream medicos agreeing on its blood pressure lowering ability. Its tea has been a Chinese household heart tonic for centuries. If you can't find a Chinese food specialty store, go online or use Hawthorne extract supplements. Details here (http://www.naturalnews.com/035685_hawthorn_berries_heart_health.html).

(9) We can't forget chocolate, can we? It should be organic and dark or bittersweet without milk and with very little sugar. Yes, it has been researched; there are compounds in cacao that dilate blood vessels and lower blood pressure

cinnamon is 26 percent sulfur based and honey is 33 percent sulfur based, making their combination 59 percent sulfur based and the reason why their combination is so effective.

Honey is the only food on the planet that will not spoil or rot.

Honey will crystallize if it is left in a cool dark place for the long time, but do not mistake this crystallization for it turning into sugar. Honey never will become sugar. If it does crystallize, simply loosen the lid and let the honey jar sit in boiled water, as this will allow the honey to re-liquefy naturally.

It is important to note that you do not put a honey jar in boiling water while still be heated or in a microwave as these will kill the enzymes in the honey.

Obviously, you will never read about this in the mainstream media because they are hookers for BigPharma and could interfere with their drug pushing profits if too many people learned about the effectiveness of sulfur-based remedies.
