Hotel number 9 please. This one definitely wasn't planned, due to the fact that Ho Chi Min is utterly bonkers and noisy. We decided to end the holiday in Style. It's set by the river amongst the most beautiful old trees that are draping themselves around the resort. It even has its own speedboat to go into the city. It's a hard life.

Over the last 24 hours we have found Ho Chi Min City to be exhausting. The noise is constant. Trafic. Beeping of horns. Shouting. I definitely think we have made the right decision to move to a nice quiet village in France.

Hotel number 8 please. We arrived in Ho Chi Min City yesterday to stay in some luxury apartments.. sadly they aren't as luxury as they once were. Broken chairs and cupboards. Peeling paint. Oh well, you can't win them all. Thankfully they replaced all the broken furniture within an hour of reporting them. Anyway. Enough of the apartment. Let's get down to visiting Ho Chi Min. We had a great sunset last night and this morning we walked around and found a 1950s style diner for breakfast. Michelle Louise Brookes is hard at work this afternoon so I think it's time for me to put my feet up until she has a break from work.

Hotel number 7 please. Yesterday we took the train from Da Nang to Hue. The scenery is meant to be beautiful but sadly there was low cloud and it was pouring with rain. Luckily it had stopped by the time we got off the train. Our hotel in Hue is not as glam as the others but still very nice.

A nice day out In Vietnam, we rode over the Hai Van Pass in between Hue and Da Nang. Crazy roads in the towns but beautiful roads out in the countryside. What made the ride a little more interesting was that the bike had no front brake, just the rear foot pedal and this particular bike had 5 gears, all down 😆

Hotel number 6 please. We decided to end our stay in Da Nang one night early and go back to the hotel we spent our honeymoon at 16 years ago. Always a risk revisiting somewhere after so long. Glady we were not disappointed. We booked a suite on the beach hoping it was the same one as our honeymoon. No such luck. Such a calm and peaceful place. Glad we came back, even though it is just for one night.

Hotel number 5 please. Just arrived in Da Nang after a quick flight from Hanoi. This time we have opted for an apartment in the city. No fuss no rush. We can do what we want when we want. The bathroom. Is a strange set up with a large window into the bedroom. Well at least it has a blind to protect our modesty. I'm sure there is a side to vietnamese people that we havnt discovered yet... Well I'm not sure I want to 😅 😂 🤔

Hotel number 4 please. We arrived here a day or two ago. Nice and peaceful. A short walk into the town centre with all the restaurants and bars. Yesterday we went on a nice little trip around the area. Temples, boat trip and a hike up 500 steps to the top of a view point. Health and safety at its best. At the very top was a scramble to the summit, over rocks and hardly any handrails. Definitely shut down in the uk
