Dr. Jihad Habli
Professor Jihad HABLI is a professor a. c. In laser dentistry at the faculty of medicine of the University of Genova- Italy.
He is the coordinator of the University of Genova in the MENA region.
He is an international lecturer in laser dentistry and facial esthetics.
He is a member of the organizing and scientific committee of the annual international congress in laser dentistry organized by the University of Genova since 2012.
He is also a founding member of the laser committee of the Lebanese Dental Association.
Prof. Habli will talk about "Laser,Botox and fillers for the aesthetics for the lower third of the face"
ABSTRACT:
Cosmetic dentistry has become part of the work done at every dental practice. The peri-oral area, lips, the gengiva, and teeth, are the most important parts in facial esthetics. They are also the structures that frame the final work towards beauty.
Botulinum toxin (BOTOX) and dermal fillers are considered as quick and effective non-sergical solutions for enhancing facial appearance in conjunction with laser.
This lecture will cover issues related to gummy smile, lips, marionette lines, TMJ- bruxism, and black triangles.

Prof.Eugenia Anagnostaki

Dr. Anagnostaki graduated from Hamburg University Dental School in 1997 and worked in a group practice in Hamburg Germany from 1997 to 1999. Since 1999, she has been in private practice in Rethymno-Crete-Greece.
Dr. Anagnostaki has been involved in laser dentistry since 2002 using first Er:YAG, then
since 2004 KTP, 2005 Er:Cr,YSGG and CO2, 2006 Diode 810nm, 2007 Diode 940nm,
2009 Diode 1064nm and 2017 Diode 445/660/970 nm

Prof.Anagnostaki is an active Member of the Hellenic Society for Oral Laser Applications HELSOLA (currently president); Board Member of Laser Education International (LEI).
Her main research topics are Laser use in aesthetic dentistry, Photobiomodulation and Photodynamic Therapy.
She has been a speaker at various international congresses. Since 2015 Dr. Anagnostaki is Contracted Professor at the Faculty of Medicine and
Dentistry, University of Genova, Italy;Co-author in the book Convissar R. Principles and practice of laser dentistry. St. Louis Mo.: Mosby Elsevier; 2011. and Convissar R. Principles and practice of laser dentistry. St.Louis, Mo.: Elsevier; Second Edition 2016

She is a reviewer for the Journal Lasers in Medical Science.

Professional dental bleaching as a sole treatment or as part of an aesthetic rehabilitation, is widely performed in everyday practice: How can Lasers enhance the procedure?which Lasers can be used?which handpieces can be used?which gels can be used?Is there evidence behind all this?During the lecture, participants will learn how to safely and successfully perform Laser assissted professional dental bleaching.

Dr Rita El Feghali
Professor Rita El Feghali is a dental surgeon who graduated from Saint Joseph University in Beirut Lebanon. She obtained her Master of Sciences degree in Laser Dentistry with honors from the University of Genoa-Italy, where she is currently a Professor a.c. and a Master thesis mentor in the Department of Surgical Sciences and Integrated Diagnostics. She is an international speaker who has presented and instructed in several laser courses and dental events in Europe,
Africa, and the Middle East and has co-authored several laser peer-reviewed articles published in high impact factor journals. Dr El Feghali is a peer-reviewer in “Lasers in Medical Science” journal. In her private practice, she works with three laser wavelengths, Diode 980nm, Nd:YAG 1064nm, and Er:YAG 2940nm.

Abstract:

The use of lasers is becoming increasingly widespread in the fields of medicine and dentistry due to its technological advances, which provide an improved quality and a wider range of use and benefits. For this reason, the need for a deeper understanding of the procedures and its effects are now more critical than ever. As a dental practitioner, there are different types of dental lasers to choose from and they range from the Diode lasers, the Nd:YAG laser, the Erbium family of
lasers to the Carbon Dioxide lasers.
The aim of this presentation is to offer an overview on the use of the Erbium family wavelengths in restorative dentistry and to highlight the practical considerations to follow when ablating dental hard tissues.
