Patient history: mutations in the BRCA1,2 genes
Our patient from Iraq, Ansam, at the age of 46 years, initially learned that there were large cysts in her breast, measuring 4 centimeters in size, and after appropriate examinations, she learned about a mutation in the BRCA1,2 genes. Mutations in these genes confer an extremely high risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer. In addition to the presence of cysts, the patient also experienced chest pain.
For treatment, doctors recommended an operation during which the mammary glands were removed and implants were installed in their place.
The patient was satisfied with the result of the operation, and also got rid of the risk of developing breast cancer.
After such an operation, she also recommended us to her friend, who performed the same operation according to the doctor’s indications
