Feeling deeply grateful for the beauty and complexity of our Trinidad & Tobago lived experience which is a truly unique opportunity for us to continue learning one another through love, remembrance, and shared humanity. 🇹🇹
I’ll be joining Women’s Perspective in Islam hosted by on .1fm alongside Shalima Mohammed as we honour Indian Arrival Day through conversation, reflection, and cultural humility.
As your , I’ll be sharing from the lens of Somatic Experiencing and nervous system regulation. After all, the body is our first home.
Cultural humility is the practice of remaining teachable.
It means approaching one another’s histories, traditions, and lived experiences with respect rather than assumption. It reminds us that healing and coherence deepen when we choose curiosity over superiority, presence over performance, and listening over projection.
In a nation as beautifully layered as Trinidad & Tobago, conversations like these matter. They remind us that our diversity is not a threat to unity…it is part of the sacred texture of who we are.
Join our village tomorrow from 6 AM – 9 AM on Women’s Perspective in Islam on Talk City 91.1FM. 🤍
With gratitude for spaces that allow dialogue, embodiment, cultural remembrance, and compassionate witnessing.
