Zahr Wellness | Body-Soul Therapy™

Helping Caribbean caregivers, breadwinners and the “strong” feel lighter and regulated through somatic healing, holistic wellness, nervous system safety, integration and embodiment.

03/09/2026

Sometimes the most powerful evidence of the work is hearing it from the people who experienced it.

At The Sacred Return, we created space to be present, slow down, come back into the body and listen to what was asking to be acknowledged.

This is the work I do as a Body–Soul Therapist™.

I create somatic experiences for Caribbean people that make room for safety, self-awareness, connection, cultural humility and a deeper relationship with the life they are choosing to live.

Because sometimes transformation is about becoming safe enough to finally hear yourself. Not about becoming someone new.

And then choosing differently.

This is what I mean by somatic safety in the Caribbean. It is the kind of experience I am interested in bringing into more retreats, wellness days, gatherings and spaces where people are ready to come back to themselves.

We absolutely deserve to be safe with ourselves, with each other, in community and in our environment. It all start with choosing to stay present with the truth of our lived experiences and accepting what was while actively building more sustainable relationships with ourselves and each other.

Welcome home, if this resonates with you!

Consider this your gentle reminder to put your phone down.

I had a migraine for two days... what a way to start the month.

My body was SPEAKING to me. I was holding tension on my left side, my jaw was doing what my jaw does, and I had to admit that I wasn’t going to be able to show up in all the ways I planned and wanted to.

And honestly?

That’s okay.

I’ve been learning more and more about living with my nervous system, not at odds with it, and how I show up for myself, as a Caribbean woman, and it’s changing the way I care for myself and how I show up for you, here at Zahr Wellness.

I also had to learn that just because I need something different from the “norm” doesn’t mean I am being difficult.

Growing up, I was often told I was EXTRA. Different. Weird. Too much.

Even, simple things like what I ate could become an inconvenience because people had to accommodate me differently.

But, if I could have done it their way, I would have.

I couldn’t.

So… ease me up. 😂

And I’m learning to ease myself up, too.

A lot of us have been saying we’re tired.

Burnt out. Worried about money. Just okay. And sometimes the answer isn’t another podcast, another reel, another thing to learn or another thing to fix.

Sometimes, you need to put the phone down and go live your actual life.

Fold the laundry. Finish the book.

Go outside.

Take yourself somewhere. Call your friend.

Go sit by the water.

Write in your journal.

Learn something you’ve been curious about.

Play the song that used to make you happy. Or do absolutely nothing.

Yes, sometimes you just need a screen detox.

My eyeballs have been telling me when they’ve had enough and I decided to listen. 😂

It really is that simple!

This is your reminder from me:

Put your phone down.

Go inhabit your life, in real life.

Sometimes, coming home to yourself looks like slowing down. Other times. it looks like asking a better question. And many times it looks like finally admitting:

I actually need help with this.

Today’s conversation on The Cosmic Egg was an invitation to consider that perhaps you are not stuck.
Perhaps you are gestating. Perhaps something is becoming. And perhaps the invitation isn’t to DO MORE, but to become clear enough, and safe enough, to receive what is asking to emerge.

Therefore, when I heard my fellow coach and Village-connected sister, Candice Shade Cook Candice Shade-Cooke - Money Coach, speaking about money, I had to share it.

Because beneath the conversation about money was a conversation I know intimately:

SAFETY.

Candice spoke about Superwoman Syndrome, about knowing what you actually want and about getting to the root of what we are really seeking when we talk about money.

I thought…YES…mmhmm!!!

How can we build a life of abundance, if we have never been given ourselves the space to ask what abundance actually means to us?

How can we build wealth if we are only focused on surviving?

How do we learn to hold more when our bodies, families, communities and histories have taught us to brace for less?

This matters here in Trinidad and Tobago and across our Caribbean region.

The World Bank reports that in 2024, 73.3% of women and 75.9% of men in Trinidad and Tobago had an account with a financial institution or mobile-money provider. But having access to an account is not the same as having access to wealth.

According to OECD/IDB data, 76% of firms in Trinidad and Tobago were owned by men or predominantly male-owned. So, when we talk about wealth, we have to talk about more than budgeting.

We have to talk about ownership. Access.

Imagination. Opportunity.

Capacity. And yes…safety.

That is why I root so deeply in the Village. I don’t need to be the answer to every question.

I need to know who is.

I am giving flowers to Candice Shade-Cook for the work she is doing around money, wealth and financial empowerment.🌹🌹🌹

If you don’t know her yet, go meet her💜

Candice, thank you for letting me celebrate your brilliance in real time.

You do NOT owe everyone access to you.

“Strong ones” are often taught to make themselves endlessly available.

The call.
The crisis.
The family responsibility.
The client.
The community.

And eventually, there is very little space left for the one carrying it all.

Your time is one of the only things you spend that you can never earn back.

You are allowed to become deliberate about how you use it.

You are allowed to create boundaries around your availability.

You are allowed to build a life that has room for you inside it.

This is part of coming home to yourself.

And this is some of the work we will explore inside The Sacred Soul Immersion.

September 23–25.

We found our flow. And then we found it again.

Last Thursday, we came home to ourselves.

Not perfectly. And honestly?

That, too, felt like part of the conversation.

Because sometimes coming home to yourself isn’t about never being disrupted. It is about discovering that you can return.

I asked those of you who joined me what stayed with you. And your words stayed with me.

Beautiful. Not because we arrived at some perfect answer. But because we were in the room together.

Listening.

Feeling.

Remembering.

Finding language for things we don’t always have language for.

This is what I mean when I say village.

Not a place where someone has all the answers. A place where we can sit beside one another long enough to hear our own.

For those of you who couldn’t make it last Thursday, I am grateful you still reached out, shared your reflections or simply stayed connected from wherever you were.

You haven’t missed your invitation.

I’ve been listening to those of you outside my time zone, too.

You asked me to come a little earlier, to have you join without having to meet me from bed, halfway through your night.

This time we change the rhythm.

We meet at noon AST.

A little earlier. A little more spacious. And we keep finding our flow.

This your invitation: Come sit with us.

You don’t need to have the right words.

You don’t need to be “healed.”

You don’t need to arrive with an answer.

Come as you are.

Bring what you’re noticing.

Bring your questions.

Bring the part of you that’s still learning to be.

And before we meet again, I invite you to sit with this:

Where in your life are you being asked to return to yourself rather than rush yourself into what comes next?

Notice what happens in your body when you ask.

We’ll take it from there.

The village is open. The conversation is continuing. And there is more to come.

See you on Thursday 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Your body is the ORACLE 🌹

The Sacred Return Guide was created for the woman who has spent years carrying everyone else and somewhere along the way lost touch with herself.

This is a guided invitation to be present with your body’s rhythms, explore cycle awareness, map your inner seasons and begin creating a life that works with your body rather than constantly asking your body to keep up.

Inside you’ll find:

• Cycle-syncing foundations
• Phase-by-phase guidance
• Embodied devotion
• A cycle tracker
• Reflection practices
• A closing declaration

It was originally written in 2023.

For the 10-year anniversary of Zahr Wellness, I revisited the work, refined it and prepared a special collector’s edition.

Each copy is numbered and hand-signed.

This is not something to rush through. It is something to return to.

To read slowly.

To pause.

To listen to the body that has been trying to have this conversation with you all along.

If you’re ready to begin your return, pre-orders are now open.

DM GUIDE to reserve your copy.
