To everyone who has faced a cancer diagnosis and is still here, this day is for you.

National Cancer Survivors Day is observed every year on the first Sunday in June.

It's not a medical milestone or a clinical event. It's a moment for communities around the world to pause and acknowledge the people who have carried one of life's heaviest burdens, and kept going.

In Trinidad and Tobago, cancer touches nearly every family.
