I love creating handmade soaps using beautiful local ingredients such as turmeric, sea moss, cocoa butter, papaya, honey, coconut milk, hibiscus, and vitamin E. Each ingredient is carefully chosen for its natural skin benefits—helping to cleanse, hydrate, nourish, soothe, brighten, and protect the skin.

Using local ingredients also allows me to support Trinidad’s farmers and small businesses while celebrating the incredible natural resources our island has to offer. READING THE ROOM

Reading the room as a massage therapist sometimes comes naturally. Energy is sometimes heavy and sad and postures are bent over, there’s sadness that’s noticeable and the silence of a wanting conversation.
The dullness hangs on the draping clothes over the recliner as the soul gets ready to be taken care of.
Most make their massage sessions as a time to center themselves, but they don’t know I notice their subtle queues that internally weighs them down and darkens the room.
I see frowns turn around and get hugs of appreciation and this changes both of our days.
Being a massage therapist it’s all about indulging in a field of a very giving career. I take your weight without you even explaining , and when you leave “ the room “ you leave your problems behind . What is discussed or what is seen stays here. This room is not just mine …it’s also your safe space , your comfort , the walls that make you feel safe and tensions are released.
I carry your weight with my tired hands and an unspoken language translates between us .
Time is never monitored as each stroke takes you deeper into a slumber. Your effortless yawns nod off reassurance ….as your soul drifts away , and this is how I notice …you have entered the right room.
You are seen , heard , taken care of and valued ❤️

Thing’s that don’t matter to me while being your massage therapist .

Dirty feet and long nails - what matters is you took the step to gift yourself relaxation when you need it.

Body hair - we all have our moments when taking care of ourselves come lasts. Body hair to me is the least of my worries.

Dirty scalp - I’m more concerned about what’s going on in your mind, and how my massage can help.

Chit chattering - This is a sign of nervousness, but I watch Clients voices slowly take a dip after a few minutes.

Odor - most of my clients come between errands or after work. A natural body odor is perfectly natural. We all have an individual scent.

Snoring - This shows me, that your body is completely relaxed and feels safe with me and within the environment. It makes me feel happy that you have detached from your stressors.

Your Emotions - we are only human. I don’t expect a client to have the same emotions every time they come. Each day and every moment may trigger different emotions, sometimes hourly or daily. It’s all part of getting to know you.

Clothes - Most of your clothes come off. Your body weight does not bother me. A lot of Clients come in discussing their body goals. All I see is someone who is honoring taking care of themselves, by listening to when their body needs a massage.

Scars- Your scars, simply mean that you have endured pain. Each scar tells a story. Sometimes clients feel insecure and share what it’s about while others become very shy. Your scars are beautiful and are all part of you.

Relaxation starts at the Sole..
We all have a story to tell …
How our day went, who we bumped up,what made us happy or sad and how our hours unfolded.
The base of the feet stores emotions and when massaged our bodies relax.
The word hypnosis is too strong to use but we do go into a world of deep relaxation.
This is where connection is built and felt .
Feeling safe is just the beginning of a good service and a relationship building tool.
I focus on three word’s ; Mood, Music and Magic ..
I set the mood, switch on music and let the magic take place. My main focus within the first few minutes is to calm the breath of a client and show them safety with touch. My second focus is making sure they stay in this state and thirdly they leave wanting this experience again. It goes beyond the Sole where I start a massage and through the soul with the communication of not just self care . The focus shifts in the end with not just fixing aches and pains ..we become connected and as times goes on Sole To Soul Therapy becomes a safe and sacred space of reflection and restoration.

Tone in massage therapy
I am very conscious of my tone when doing a massage. I speak softly to match the environment and to help the client’s mind go into a slumber state.
Tone and scent of room is the introductory to any massage and when put into practice, I have witnessed sudden shifts in mood and relaxation begins .
I don’t only observe my tone in voice but “ tone” in the way I touch and I imagine what I’m trying to say to the client with my hands. It’s almost like saying “ you are safe, and you can gently release .”
I’ve always viewed a massage as a full body hug that speaks to the body, mind and soul.
It’s a universal language that only massage therapist understand. We have a deep love and concentration towards people and their energies.
My goal in every tone , touch and massage is to let you leave better than you came in.
