Healthy sustainable eating habits is one of the best weapons you have to improve your heart health & fight cardiovascular disease. The foods you eat (quality & quantity) can negatively or positively affect other controllable risk factors such as cholesterol, blood pressure, diabetes and overweight.

Choose nutrient-rich foods — which are rich in fiber, proteins, complex carbs, healthy fats & other essential vitamins & minerals — over nutrient-poor foods. Choose a eating habits that emphasizes intake of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains; includes low-fat dairy products, poultry, fish, legumes, mono & poly saturated oils, and nuts.
