💙 ULTRASOUND AWARENESS MONTH 💙
When I think about my career in diagnostic imaging, I feel incredibly grateful.
For the past 24 years, I have had the privilege of working in a profession that has challenged me, taught me, humbled me, and given me countless moments that remind me why I chose this path.
I am proud to be qualified as both a Radiographer and Sonographer, but over the years, I have developed a particularly deep passion for ultrasound. 🩵
Ultrasound is so much more than creating beautiful images on a screen.
It is about seeing, understanding, questioning and investigating.
It is about recognizing when something looks normal — and equally importantly, recognizing when something doesn't.
It is about taking the time to obtain the right images and measurements, correlating what I see with the patient's symptoms and clinical history, and doing my very best to help arrive at the most accurate diagnosis possible.
And for me, that's where the real meaning of this profession lies.
💙 MY PATIENTS ARE AT THE HEART OF WHAT I DO 💙
Every person who walks into my clinic has a story.
Some come excited to see their baby for the first time. 👶🏽💕
Some come worried about a pain or a lump.
Some are anxious about what their examination may reveal.
Others simply want reassurance that everything is okay.
Regardless of the reason, I never forget that behind every ultrasound examination is a person who deserves compassion, respect, patience and the very best care I can provide.
Over the years, I have seen how an ultrasound examination can provide reassurance, guide further investigation, identify important abnormalities and, sometimes, make a significant difference in a person's care.
That responsibility is something I never take lightly.
💙 MY PASSION FOR ULTRASOUND 💙
After 24 years in diagnostic imaging, I can honestly say that I still love what I do.
I love the challenge of an examination that requires careful thinking and attention to detail.
I love putting the pieces together.
I love the moment when an image answers a clinical question.
And most of all, I love knowing that the work I do may help a patient and their doctor make the right decisions about their health.
That is what keeps me passionate.
That is what keeps me learning.
And that is what makes me proud to be a sonographer.
💙 PROUD TO SERVE SANGRE GRANDE 💙
I am also incredibly proud to be part of the Sangre Grande community.
Through Advance Ultrasound Solutions Ltd., it is my privilege to provide diagnostic ultrasound services to the people of Sangre Grande, surrounding communities and by extension my beautiful country.
Every patient who walks through my doors is an opportunity to be of service — and I am genuinely grateful for the trust that patients place in me.
After all these years, I don't take that trust for granted.
As we celebrate Ultrasound Awareness Month, I want to acknowledge not only the incredible technology of ultrasound, but also the dedicated professionals behind it — sonographers, radiologists, physicians, nurses and everyone who contributes to diagnostic care.
And to my patients, past and present:
Thank you for trusting me with your care. 🩵
It has been an honour to serve you, and I look forward to continuing to do what I love — using my knowledge, experience and passion to provide the best ultrasound examination I can, one patient at a time.
