Bleeding in early pregnancy is something that should not be ignored. At about 5 to 6 weeks pregnant it may be what we call an implantation bleed when the placenta is being formed. Should not last more than a couple of days. Otherwise it is important to have it checked to ensure the baby is ok. pregnancy checks

This month is cancer awareness month. Among those cancers to be aware of is cervical cancer. This can be prevented by doing a pap smear in combination with hpv screening.

The guidelines show the frequency recommended for both pap smears and hpv testing. The pap smear screening starts at least 3 years after a women has s*xual interiors for the first time once she is over the age of 21 years.

Cervical cancer is one of the most preventable cancers out there, but prevention only works if we act on it.

Know the signs:
•Bleeding between periods, after s*x, or after
menopause
•Heavier or longer periods
•Unusual discharge; pelvic pain or pain during in*******se
•Unexplained fatigue or weight loss.

Any of these on their own don't mean cancer but they're always worth a conversation with your doctor.

Regular Pap smears, HPV testing, and the HPV vaccine remain your strongest protection.

PCOS has a new name: Polyendocrine Metabolic Ovarian Syndrome, or PMOS. The rename followed a 14-year global consensus process because 'polycystic' misled people into thinking this is only about ovarian cysts, when it's really a whole-body hormonal and metabolic condition.
