Dear Colleagues,

In observance of World TB Day 2026, the Thoracic Society of Trinidad and Tobago (TSOTT) invites you to a specialized clinical webinar addressing one of the most significant challenges in modern pulmonology.

While we remain committed to the global goal—"Yes! We Can End TB"—we must also sharpen our focus on the "cousins" of tuberculosis: Nontuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM). With rising incidence and complex resistance patterns, the management of NTM-PD requires a nuanced, evidence-based approach.

Topic: Management of Nontuberculous Mycobacterial Pulmonary Disease (NTM-PD)

Speaker: Charles L. Daley, MD, ATSF, FCCP, Chief, Division of Mycobacterial and Respiratory Infections at the National Jewish Health, Denver, Colorado, USA

Webinar Details:

Date: Tuesday, March 24, 2026
Time: 12: 00 pm - 1: 00 pm (AST) / 10: 00 am - 11: 00 am (MT)
Platform: Zoom (Online)

[Click Here to Register for the Zoom Session https://forms.gle/62VXz6JUGEFn2RPw5 ] After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing the link to join the meeting.

Why this matters: NTM-PD is often misdiagnosed as TB or standard bronchiectasis. Improving our local management strategies is vital to reducing patient morbidity and treatment fatigue in Trinidad and Tobago.

We look forward to your participation in this vital scientific exchange. Please feel free to share this flyer with your colleagues and students under your supervision.

Respectfully,
Shabana Mayers,
Secretary, TSOTT
