Food has always been my saving grace.

It carried me, anchored me, and ultimately shaped the path I stand on today.

Culture, community, and entrepreneurship emerged from that foundation and continue to evolve through my food community.

I am pleased to share that I have been nominated for both the Culinary ICON Award and the Entrepreneurial ICON Award at the ICON Woman Awards.

Through Handmade by Jeanette Company, my work has grown into more than expression. It has become structure, practice, and purpose—through product development, curated culinary experiences, collaboration with farmers and artisans, and the ongoing development of my food community, food security, and food systems rooted in place and people.

At its core, the work remains simple: food as grounding, food as connection, food as survival, food as transformation.

This nomination is a catalyst for what is already in motion—expanding my food community, deepening collaborations within food systems, and building more intentional spaces around food, culture, and education.

The work continues to grow.

From shared tables to shared experiences, every moment reinforced a simple truth: the best things are built together.

🐝 Honey Fest Recap: 🐝 Handmade by Jeanette Co

Honey Fest 2026 was an amazing experience for us at Handmade by Jeanette Co.

We loved sharing our passion for honey and showing how versatile it can be — from our signature garlic hot honey to our unique sauces and granola. 🍯

One of the best parts was seeing people discover new flavours and new ways to enjoy honey — sweet, spicy, savoury, and comforting all at once. 🌶️🍯

We are grateful to have been part of an event that celebrates bees, local agriculture, and small businesses. 🐝🌻
