Happy Independence Day, T&T

Sorry, got the years mixed up. It's actually 64 years, not 63. See what sleep deprivation can do the brain?! Lol.

Just my two cents on a different perspective on independence.

Let's keep building this country into the best it can possibly be!!!

The Synapse Scholar Programme continues.
Miss Avisha Kissoon joins as our second scholar β€” a pre-clinical medical student at UWI, St. Augustine, now embedded in one of Trinidad's most active specialist neurology practices.
This is what early clinical exposure should look like. Not passive observation. Real cases, real decisions, real medicine.
The next generation of Caribbean doctors is being built here.

At Synapse Medical Services, patient comfort is central to the care experience.

In this testimonial, one of our patients shares how she feels at ease from the moment she walks in describing a smooth, seamless process and a genuine sense of relief after each session with Dr. Maraj.

Feeling heard. Feeling cared for. Feeling better.

That's the Synapse difference.

Meet Asafa . πŸ‘‹πŸ½

He's a UWI Medical Student β€” and the very first Synapse Scholar.

This summer, Asafa got to do something most medical students only read about: real neurology, real patients, real medicine. Inpatient rounds, outpatient clinics, and the kind of hands-on experience that shapes the kind of doctor you become.

We started the Synapse Scholar Programme because we believe great medicine should be taught as well as practised. Hear what Asafa has to say about it. πŸ‘†πŸ½

The Synapse Scholar Programme is Synapse Medical's annual placement initiative for UWI medical students. Scholars spend dedicated time within our neurology practice β€” on the wards, in clinic, and alongside our clinical team β€” gaining the kind of immersive exposure that classroom medicine simply cannot replicate.

We are grateful to have started this journey in 2026, and we look forward to welcoming new Scholars every year.

Your brain deserved attention on 30th July and we showed up to give it.

Synapse Medical was proud to participate in the Eastern Credit Union Health Fair, bringing specialist neurology awareness directly to the community.

We covered:
Stroke warning signs β€” and why every minute matters Headaches and migraines β€” when to take them seriously
Memory changes β€” what's normal and what isn't
Sleep and its direct impact on brain health

The fair is over. The conversation doesn't have to be.
If you were there and want to go deeper, or if you missed us and want to be seen β€” book a follow-up consultation at Synapse Medical.

Free screenings. Branded giveaways. A Build-A-Brain game that brought out everyone's competitive side.

Synapse Medical was at the Prison Service Health Fair July 23–25 β€” three days of free health support for officers, staff, and their families.

These are the people holding the line daily. The least we could do was show up for them.

Eager to do more. Watch this space.
Know your brain. Protect your future.
