🌹 What Do Rose Petals Actually Bring to a Cup of Tea?
When you see rose petals in a tea blend, you might think they're there for the colour.
And yes, they are beautiful.
But rose can play a much more interesting role in blending.
Rose petals bring a delicate floral aroma and a soft, distinctive character to the cup. They can add another sensory layer without necessarily overpowering the other botanicals.
Not every ingredient needs to be the star. For us, rose can either be a supporting or an enhancing botanical.
Some ingredients help round out the blend, connect other flavors, add aroma, or create a little more depth.
Rose can do just that.
Take, for instance our HER Heart herbal blend. Rose sits among the other ingredients and brings a softer floral note that helps make the whole cup feel more considered.
It's not simply putting a handful of pretty ingredients together.
It's understanding what each botanical brings to the cup and how they work together.
So, the next time you see rose petals in your tea, take a closer look.
Don't just ask, “What does rose do?”
Ask:
“What is rose bringing to this blend?”
Then smell. Sip. Notice.
Because sometimes the ingredient you notice least is helping make the whole cup what it is.
