I was invited to a women's event called LeadHer in Lakewood yesterday. I met lots of interesting people and got to connect with lots of professional. My purpose is always to let people understand about yoga therapy, what we do and how yoga therapy can help. I also learned a lot from others. I'm so happy to see so many women thrive with their business and work towards their dream, at the same time giving back to the community. That is the special trait of women that are different than men. We are caring and compassionate. We are respectful and powerful. We focus on our job and still take good care of our family.

Here, I'd like to salute and thank all the women for your dedication. You are enough. You are powerful. You ARE the best!

Here is an example of how to do a goblet squat.
Set up with your feet shoulder width apart, toes turn out slightly is better for your hip anatomy and allowing you to squat deeper with your torso upright.
When you're ready, brace your core and sit down on an imaginary chair. Move your hips back and down on your inhale. Aligning your knees towards your 2nd or 3rd toe. Keep your spine neutral and upright, your neck is part of your spine. Be sure to keep your heels down on the floor.
Here's a few with a dumbbell. Keep the weight close to your body, elbows tuck in to your ribs. Come up on your exhale. Drive your feet down and squeeze your buttocks and stand all the way up. Be sure to move on to using weights after you master the form.
Remember you should bend from your hips, not from your back. Avoid letting the knees cave in when you go in and out of this movement.

People ask why I lift. It’s not for the mirror—it’s for the 'everyday heavy. It's like lifting this sign at the studio.

I love gardening. Being able to lug a 40-pound bag of garden soil without a second thought is essential. It’s kneeling to w**d the garden and actually being able to get back up.
I love to cook with a cast iron pot. So It’s the grace of handling a 25-pound cast iron pot full of Sunday dinner—sliding it in and out of a hot oven without breaking my back. It's being able to plate with one hand that makes life so much easier. .
And yeah, it’s for the days my 13-year-old is needs a literal 'human Uber' from her room to the table. I don't train to be 'gym strong.' I train to be life-proof."
