這場交流中,我自己最有收穫的部分,是對創新版 有了更清楚的理解

過去提到企業進入資本市場,很多人直覺想到的還是傳統上市櫃門檻

但創新版的存在,讓我看到台灣資本市場其實正在嘗試為具創新性、高成長潛力、但仍在發展階段的企業 打開另一條路

尤其對 AI、生技醫療與高科技產業來說,這類公司往往擁有技術、場景與市場潛力,卻未必能用傳統標準被完整衡量

創新版某種程度上,就是讓資本市場有機會更早理解這些公司的價值

所謂「邁向上市」,其實不只是財務數字達標

對創新企業來說,更重要的是如何把技術能力、商業模式、治理架構、資安治理與個資合規一起建立起來,讓市場相信你不只是有一個好點子,而是真正具備長期成長與被信任的能力

我一直以來的夢想,都是希望未來能成立一間 AI 醫療科技公司

也因為如此,這場交流對我來說不只是一次單純的活動參與,而是真的很有幫助

它讓我更具體地去思考,一家創新型企業如果真的想走得長遠,除了技術與市場之外,也必須更早開始建立治理架構、資安意識與個資合規能力,讓公司具備被市場信任、被資本理解的基礎

Just spent some time exploring how an app is developed.

When people talk about wearable devices, the first thing they usually think about is the hardware , the sensor, the form factor, the battery, the industrial design.

But in reality, hardware alone is not enough.

A smart wearable device only becomes truly valuable when it is connected to a strong software system, likes an app that turns raw data into meaningful insights, or a platform that enables user interaction and long-term engagement, and a digital workflow that supports monitoring, analysis, and future intervention.

This is also why app development is such a critical part of wearable innovation.

From product requirements, architecture design, and implementation, to testing, deployment, and post-launch optimization . Software is what transforms a device from “something you wear” into “something that delivers value.”

In healthcare and digital health especially, this matters even more.

Wearables are increasingly seen as tools for more proactive, personalized, and preventive care, but that value depends heavily on whether the software layer can make the data usable, actionable, and trustworthy.

A great wearable product is not just built on hardware engineering. It is built on the integration of hardware, software, data, and user experience.

WT | Wearable Technologies AG Conference 2026 Hong Kong took place on March 4–5, 2026, at Hong Kong Science Park, marking the event’s return to Hong Kong after a decade. The conference focused on major themes including wearables and MIoT for non-communicable diseases, AI in the wearable ecosystem, the future of healthcare, medical deep tech, and regulations and certifications.

Alongside the conference, the Hong Kong MedTech Innovation World Cup 2026 brought 11 finalists to the stage to present wearable and health innovation solutions, with the final Top 3 winners announced on March 5.

The Top 3 winners were:

1st Place: FluoretiQ Limited (United Kingdom)

2nd Place & Public Vote Winner: Lighthouse Tech 🕶 Tech SA (Switzerland)

3rd Place: United Sensing & MediTech (Hong Kong)

This year’s event highlighted continued momentum in wearable healthcare technologies, with strong attention on AI-enabled systems, chronic disease management, senior care, biosensor innovation, and pathways toward clinical and commercial adoption in Asia.

Can Wearables Estimate Blood Pressure Without an Inflatable Cuff?

Blood pressure is one of the biggest unmet needs in consumer health tech and one of the hardest signals to measure reliably.

Nearly half of U.S. adults have hypertension (~48%).
Yet preventive care uptake is still shockingly low: one landmark analysis found only ~8% of U.S. adults (35+) received all high-priority recommended preventive services.
That gap is exactly why wearables are racing toward blood pressure: if measurement can move from “occasional clinic visits” to “passive, everyday signals,” hypertension could be detected earlier and managed better.

Traditional BP monitoring is episodic (clinic / home cuff). Wearables offer: Continuous context (sleep, stress, exercise, recovery), Longitudinal trends (weeks/months rather than single readings), Higher chance of catching “silent hypertension” early

That’s the promise:
not just measurement, but earlier awareness + better adherence.

The reality: BP is not “just another metric”
Cuffless BP estimation is technically hard because BP changes with:
arterial stiffness, hydration, temperature, stress, posture, medications, caffeine/alcohol, sleep quality, sensor placement and skin contact variability

Most wearable approaches estimate BP indirectly using signals like PPG (optical pulse) and timing features (e.g., pulse transit time proxies). These models typically require calibration and still face accuracy drift over time and across populations.

Ultimately, this unmet need is precisely why so many wearable leaders are investing aggressively in blood pressure estimation without an inflatable cuff but doing so with different levels of clinical ambition and regulatory caution.

Some are already shipping early-stage estimation features. WHOOP’s “Blood Pressure Insights,” for example, uses a one-time baseline calibration with a standard blood pressure cuff, then provides daily systolic and diastolic blood pressure estimations.

Others are taking a research-first path. Oura’s “Blood Pressure Profile Study,” launched through Oura Labs, is explicitly designed to help develop an investigational feature aimed at spotting hidden hypertension risk.

In parallel, big tech is also pushing “detection before measurement.” Apple received FDA clearance for a hypertension detection feature that does not directly measure blood pressure, highlighting how closely product claims and regulatory boundaries are intertwined in this space.

And Google/Fitbit has launched a large Hypertension Study recruiting up to 10,000 Pixel Watch users, signaling how seriously the industry is treating blood pressure as the next major frontier in wearables.

In short: blood pressure remains one of the toughest signals to crack but with massive clinical impact and market demand, it’s no surprise that nearly every major wearable company is racing to solve it.

Recent reports suggest that OpenAI may be preparing to launch its first consumer hardware product, a ChatGPT-powered smart speaker with a built-in camera. This device is rumored to go beyond voice-only interactions and bring visual context and environmental awareness to everyday AI experiences.

Unlike traditional smart speakers, a camera-equipped version could enable features such as object recognition, contextual understanding of a room, and even secure facial authentication. Early projections place potential pricing in the $200–$300 range, with a possible launch as early as 2027.

OpenAI has reportedly invested significant internal resources — including collaboration with designers linked to Jony Ive — signaling that hardware is not just an experiment but a strategic direction. Alongside this smart speaker, future device plans such as AI glasses or ambient hardware have also been discussed, indicating a broader ambition to make AI a more situationally aware companion rather than a passive interface.

As AI moves from screens and phones into physical spaces, devices that can both see and hear could become the next frontier of human-computer interaction.

The steady rise in market value from 2020 through the mid-2020s shows consistent consumer acceptance, but the acceleration post-2026 suggests a shift driven by deeper technology integration. Advances in low-power semiconductors, AI-enabled signal processing, and biometric sensing are redefining what ear-worn devices can deliver.

As a result, hearables are transitioning from peripheral consumer electronics into core nodes within the broader wearable and digital health ecosystem.

By 2035, the hearables market is expected to reach a scale comparable to major segments of consumer electronics, positioning it as one of the fastest-growing categories in wearable technology.

Another signal that wearable tech is moving deeper into physiology!!

NextSense, Inc has launched Smartbuds, wireless earbuds embedded with EEG sensors designed to enhance sleep quality.It is a company spun out of Google’s X division in 2020 ,and it really reflects where wearable health technology may be heading.

Unlike most sleep trackers that infer sleep stages from movement or heart rate, Smartbuds directly detect neural signals using six in-ear EEG sensors. The device can identify transitions between light sleep, deep sleep, and wakefulness in milliseconds and then deliver precisely timed audio stimulation to enhance slow-wave sleep, the stage most associated with recovery and memory consolidation.

NextSense's Early beta data is promising:
Increased slow-wave activity
Nearly 50% of participants reporting improved sleep quality
Over 1,000 nights of real-world EEG data collected

EEG has existed for decades, but adoption has been limited by bulky headbands and lab equipment. By embedding brain sensing into earbuds ,a device people already wear daily — NextSense is lowering the friction between advanced neuroscience and everyday consumer use.

Another strategic move: Smartbuds are positioned as a consumer wellness product, not a medical device. No diagnostic claims. No treatment claims. In today’s regulatory environment, that distinction matters.

If brain sensing becomes mainstream in consumer devices, the definition of “wearable health” may expand dramatically.

Reflections on The CEO Excellence Mindset

1. Leadership Is About Impact, Not Authority.
For me, one of the most powerful ideas in the book is this:
“People may forget what you said or did, but they will never forget how you made them feel.”
A CEO is not merely a decision-maker or strategist, but an emotional and moral anchor for the organization.
True leadership is built on:
• Empathy
• Courage to make difficult decisions
• A value-driven mindset rather than short-term gains

2. Great CEOs Adapt — They Don’t Imitate.
The book highlights common traits among outstanding CEOs:
• Acting in alignment with their own strengths and values
• Adjusting leadership style to fit organizational needs
• Welcoming feedback
• Remaining hopeful during adversity
• Knowing when to stand alone and when to ask for help
What struck me most is that there is no single formula for success.
Excellence comes from self-awareness combined with situational flexibility.

3. Vision Must Be Grounded in Analytical Rigor
Another key insight is that great CEOs master the fundamentals of business analysis.
This includes understanding:
• Pricing
• Product strategy
• Distribution
• Cost structures
• Financial performance
Vision without analytical discipline becomes rhetoric.
Outstanding leaders translate ambition into measurable ex*****on.

4. Stress-Testing Decisions: The “Wreckoon” Mindset
The book introduces a compelling idea: Organizations should simulate disruption and question assumptions before reality does.
Leaders should constantly ask:
• What are we overlooking?
• Where could this fail?
• Under what conditions would this decision be wrong?
This approach fosters resilience.

5. Turning Vision into Collective Momentum
The most powerful CEOs unify fragmented efforts into shared direction. They:
• Define a clear purpose
• Align decisions with that purpose
• Transform am8bition into coordinated action
A vision without ex*****on is merely aspiration.
Ex*****on without vision is directionless effort.
True leadership integrates both.

6.The Ability to See Beyond the Present.
Another idea that deeply resonated with me is that great CEOs do not possess a crystal ball — they cultivate perspective.
The ability to anticipate the future does not come from intuition alone. Instead, it is built through:
• Exposure to diverse disciplines
• Reading beyond one’s own industry
• Connecting seemingly unrelated ideas
• Building networks across sectors and regions
• Constantly challenging one’s assumptions

Foresight is not a mystical gift, it is the result of deliberate curiosity and intellectual openness. Personally, this reminded me that strategic vision is not developed in isolation. It requires stepping outside of comfort zones — engaging with different industries, cultures, and perspectives. If I aspire to become a future leader, I must consciously train myself to think beyond immediate tasks and short-term performance. Seeing the future, therefore, is not about prediction — it is about preparation.

This book redefined my understanding of executive excellence.
A great CEO is not necessarily:
• The smartest person in the room
• The most dominant voice
• The most charismatic speaker

Instead, they are someone who:
• Sees beyond the present

Here are some of my thoughts after reading an in-depth report on Oura Health, the Finnish wearable health tech company behind the popular Oura Ring.
The report helped crystallize how the wearable wellness segment has evolved and where it’s headed.

1.From Purpose to Product
Founded in 2013 in Oulu, Finland, Oura started with a simple but powerful idea: make health and lifestyle data meaningful and actionable. The founders, coming from backgrounds in mobile tech, imaging, and fitness tracking, spent years refining a form factor and sensing platform that could be worn comfortably 24/7 — resulting in the now-iconic Oura Ring.
The first version debuted in 2015 and steadily evolved with deeper sensor capabilities and design refinements.

2.Product & Tech Differentiation
What sets Oura apart is its focus on holistic biometric insights rather than raw data streams. The ring tracks sleep stages, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, body temperature, respiratory rate, activity, and even behavioral patterns like daily steps and calorie burn. With the third-generation ring, Oura introduced round-the-clock heart rate monitoring, blood oxygen tracking, and period prediction — aligning with broader wellness trends and deeper health insights.

Oura doesn’t just hand you data its Oura App translates raw signals into digestible Sleep, Activity, and Readiness scores that guide personalized behavioral feedback. Membership unlocks advanced features like deeper health insights and oxygen monitoring, while the Oura Cloud and Oura API extend data access and integration with other platforms.

3.Business Model: Hardware + Subscription + Enterprise
Oura operates on a hybrid B2C model:
• One-time revenue from smart ring sales
• Recurring revenue from optional subscription services
• B2B enterprise solutions (Oura for Business) that help companies monitor organizational health trends

This model gives Oura both upfront cash flow and ongoing engagement — a crucial combination in a space where retention and data continuity matter.

4.Target Market & Traction
Initially attractive to health-savvy individuals and biohackers, Oura has broadened its audience to include wellness-focused consumers, professional athletes (NBA, WNBA partnerships), and corporate wellness programs. The pandemic accelerated interest in wearables, and Oura saw rapid adoption — selling over 1 million rings by 2022, with global distribution growing through partnerships like Best Buy and limited-edition collaborations with brands like Gucci.

5.Key Risks to Navigate
While Oura has carved out a niche, challenges remain:
• Single-product dependency: Heavy reliance on the Oura Ring exposes the company to market shifts and competitive pressures from diversified giants like Apple and Fitbit.
• Distribution limitations: A primarily DTC model limits visibility compared to competitors with broader retail presence — though partnerships like Best Buy help.
• Premium price point: With rings starting around $299, Oura must justify value vs. cheaper or more feature-rich alternatives.
• Data accuracy: The strength of Oura’s value proposition depends on reliable measurements — inconsistent tracking could erode consumer trust.

Oura’s journey from Kickstarter to mainstream awareness reflects a broader shift in how consumers engage with health data. It’s not enough to collect data — wearables must translate that data into actionable, life-improving insights.
Oura has positioned itself well on that front, but staying ahead in an increasingly crowded field will require continued innovation, thoughtful service expansion, and strong strategic partnerships.

剛好過年這幾天很有空~就來整理一下我之前一直沒有特別清楚的台灣上市、上櫃、興櫃公司之間的差異,順便畫成圖表整理一下,如果有錯誤或需要補充的歡迎大家跟我分享!!!

在台灣資本市場中,企業可以依據不同程度的財務資格與審查標準,被掛牌在不同的公開交易平台上,主要有以下三種身份:

1. 上市公司(TWSE Listed Company)

掛牌市場: 台灣證券交易所(TWSE)

重點:

• 門檻最高、要求最嚴格

• 適合成熟、獲利穩定的大型企業

• 透明度最高、交易流動性也最強

資格要求:

• 實收資本額 ≥ 新台幣 6 億元

• 公司成立至少 3 年以上

• 必須符合一定的獲利能力(例如:近兩年稅前淨利/股本 ≥ 6% 等)

• 發行股數與股東人數通常需 ≥ 500 位以上股東 且 ≥ 20% 流通股且需由 主辦承銷商 / 保薦機構 協助申請

因為審查嚴謹,上市公司的資訊揭露要求最高,投資人也比較容易透過公開資訊評估風險。

2. 上櫃公司(TPEx OTC Listed Company)

掛牌市場: 證券櫃檯買賣中心(TPEx)上櫃市場

重點:

• 條件比上市寬鬆,但比興櫃高

• 適合具成長性、但尚未達到上市標準的中型企業

• 交易量與資訊揭露程度居中

資格要求:

• 實收資本額 ≥ 新台幣 5,000 萬元

• 完整會計年度 ≥ 2 年以上

• 需要達到基本獲利能力(例如最近一年稅前淨利/股本 ≥ 4% 等)

• 通常需 ≥ 300 位以上股東 且 ≥ 20% 流通股且需符合保薦或輔導制度

上櫃公司在財務與營運表現上要比興櫃公司更具基礎能力,因此風險相對也比興櫃低一些。

3. 興櫃公司(TPEx Emerging Stock Board)

掛牌市場: 證券櫃檯買賣中心(TPEx)興櫃市場

重點:

• 門檻最低,主要是讓新創或早期公司先進入資本市場試水溫

• 不要求公司必須獲利、年限或特定資本額

• 交易多透過券商推薦議價進行,流動性較低

• 適合初期創新型企業,或正在準備上櫃/上市前階段的公司

資格要求重點

• 只需至少兩家推薦券商

• 不需要實收資本額或獲利要求

• 不需要既定營運年限

興櫃主要是給還未符合上櫃 / 上市條件的公司一個先曝光與交易的平台,但因資訊公開程度比前兩者少、流動性低,風險會相對高一些。

對於投資人而言,從風險與資訊透明度角度去理解這三者的不同,有助於做更合理的投資判斷;對於創業者而言,這也是未來規劃資本市場路徑的重要知識

As I dive deeper into the FemTech world and what I want to build someday, Lumia™ Health keeps popping up as a standout example.

What Lumia has done is compelling because they are redefining what wearables can measure.

Not just steps or heart rate, but continuous blood flow to the head, a signal that has real relevance to symptoms like dizziness, brain fog, fatigue and more. Originally developed to support people with chronic conditions such as POTS and Long COVID, their technology has been refined through collaboration with top research institutions and translated into a consumer-friendly smart earring form factor that blends health insight with everyday wearability.

Their latest product, Lumia 2 smart earrings, tracks blood flow alongside other metrics like sleep, temperature and menstrual cycle data — all while keeping a design that feels natural to wear.

This kind of clinical-anchored yet consumer-focused innovation is precisely the kind of approach I’m excited about in FemTech — solving real physiological challenges with technology that people want to use every day.

Lumia™ Health’s mission to illuminate a previously invisible aspect of physiology and help users understand how their bodies truly work is a model worth studying as I shape my own vision in this field.

Just came across some headline news about Hims & Hers Health, Inc. and it inspired me to share a brief introduction to this telehealth pioneer.

Hims & Hers is a U.S.based direct-to-consumer telehealth company founded in 2017 and headquartered in San Francisco. It connects users with licensed healthcare professionals, offering accessible online consultations and a range of health solutions including prescription medications, OTC wellness products, mental health support, skincare, sexual health, weight management, and more.

What sets Hims & Hers apart is its mission to democratize access to care — making services once gated behind traditional clinics available online with greater convenience and transparency.

Over the years, the company has evolved from men’s health roots into a broader wellness platform serving both men and women.

Recent headlines show how dynamic and challenging the telehealth space can be: Hims & Hers briefly introduced a low-cost compounded version of a popular weight-loss drug (using semaglutide, the same active ingredient found in Wegovy), priced at around $49/month — significantly cheaper than brand alternatives. However, this move immediately drew regulatory scrutiny from the FDA and a patent lawsuit from Novo Nordisk, prompting Hims to discontinue the product amid intense legal and compliance pressure.

As a result, the company’s stock saw notable declines.

Despite these setbacks, Hims & Hers remains an influential player in digital health, with growing subscriber bases and expanding offerings beyond traditional telemedicine.
