Ribbond is a problem-solving material. This elderly patient presented with periodontally mobile teeth and a tooth needing an extraction. She did not want to go through an expensive treatment with multiple office visits.

Dr. Rudo, the inventor of Ribbond, made this combination periodontal splint/bridge using the extracted clinical crown as the pontic. This case was done soon after he invented Ribbond and he did not know how long it would last. The patient died 6-years later with the prosthesis still functioning.
