Dear Kin Kariisa and the entire Next Media Services family,
Some days have gone by, and we are still thinking about you.

Losing two members of your family in such a short time is a pain no workplace should have to carry. We cannot pretend to know the depth of what you are going through, but please know that we are grieving with you.

When the survivor was brought to Kisubi Hospital, we did everything within our ability to stabilize and care for him before he was safely handed over to a facility closer to you for continued care.

We wish we could take away some of the pain. But today, all we can do is stand with you, pray with you, and remind you that you are not alone.

May the souls of your departed colleagues rest in eternal peace. May God strengthen their families, comfort their friends, and give the entire NEXT MEDIA family the courage to face the days ahead.

From all the Basawo at Kisubi Hospital to you - we care, and we are praying for you.
Amidst it all, always remember,

Later today, our Head of Business & Marketing, Belguin Prosper Lumu, had the privilege of visiting Gugudde TV Head Office Gugudde TV Uganda, where he met with Station Programs Director Mr. Yusuf Muwanguzi and Mr. Daniel Kamara for a constructive discussion on matters of mutual interest between Kisubi Hospital and Gugudde TV.

The engagement provided an opportunity for both institutions to explore areas of collaboration, strengthen existing relations and identify ways through which we can work together to create greater value for the communities we serve.

We appreciate the warm reception and the positive discussions with the Gugudde TV team. We look forward to building a stronger relationship and exploring meaningful opportunities for collaboration in healthcare awareness, community engagement and improved access to quality healthcare.

Today, the Kisubi Hospital team went into the field with one mission: planning two medical camps with the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

We visited the sites, met the First Elders, planned like generals preparing for battle - and left with one conclusion:

Healing is coming! The Basawo from Kisubi Hospital are coming to the Seventh-Day Adventist Church locations in the Entebbe region.
Two camps. One mission. Great teamwork.

At Kisubi Hospital, we ensure that our emergency cardiac team is available 24/7 for patients who need urgent heart procedures. Because when a heart is in danger, every second matters.

In this picture is Mr. Raj Xavier, the man who operates the machine on which a patient sleeps while we perform a heart procedure in our Cardiac Cath Lab.

He speaks to the machine, and the machine speaks back to him. But behind that quiet conversation is something much bigger: a responsibility for a human life.

This photograph was taken during his free time. Yet when he is at work, together with his colleagues, Raj plays a vital role in ensuring that every patient who enters that room receives the best possible care and has the best possible chance of walking out alive.

Some people work with machines. Others work with lives. Our team does both.
To Raj and the entire cardiac team: thank you for standing between a beating heart and the uncertainty of an emergency.

DIARY SESSION: MEDICAL INTERNS - Episode 2

What happens when your greatest fear becomes your very first test as a doctor?

For Dr. Rodgers, that moment came almost immediately after arriving at Kisubi Hospital. CPR and emergency resuscitation had always been his greatest fear. The thought of being responsible for saving a life in those critical moments was something he had long dreaded.

On the very day he was oriented on cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), the unimaginable happened. Within minutes, an emergency patient was rushed in, and there was no time to stand back. Dr. Rodgers stepped into the resuscitation team, confronting the very fear he had carried with him throughout medical school.

For eight relentless hours, he worked alongside experienced clinicians in a determined fight to save the patient's life. By the end of it all, the patient had been stabilized - and Dr. Rodgers had overcome one of the biggest fears of his medical career. It was more than a clinical experience; it was a life-changing lesson in courage, teamwork, and believing in the training that prepares doctors for the moments that matter most.

But that wasn't his only unforgettable milestone.

In this inspiring conversation, Dr. Rodgers also shares the emotions of performing his very first Caesarean section (C-section), a defining moment that deepened his confidence and reminded him of the privilege of bringing new life safely into the world.

His story is proof that becoming a doctor isn't simply about passing exams - it's about confronting fear, embracing responsibility, and discovering your strength when someone's life depends on you.

Watch as Dr. Rodgers reflects on how Kisubi Hospital shaped him through exceptional mentorship, hands-on training, and experiences that transformed fear into confidence.

Whether you're a medical student, an intern, a healthcare professional, or simply inspired by stories of resilience and service, this is a journey you won't want to miss.

At Kisubi Hospital, we don't just teach medicine - we help doctors overcome their fears, build confidence, and become the professionals patients can trust.
